Description

Sell the experience. Lead the event. Grow the business.

Acme Hospitality owns and operates a collection of award-winning restaurants, bars, and boutique hotels across California. We’re looking for a driven Sales & Events Manager to grow our private event and catering business across all of our venues.

This role is ideal for a hospitality sales professional who loves the hunt for new business as much as the thrill of a flawless event. You’ll own the full cycle: you’ll find and close the deal, plan every detail, lead the team on the floor, and turn first-time clients into lifelong fans.

What you’ll do

  • Drive revenue. Own private event and catering sales goals across all Acme venues, and build a strong pipeline through proactive outreach to corporate, social, and nonprofit clients.
  • Close the deal. Qualify leads, lead site tours, and negotiate proposals and contracts that maximize revenue and deliver real value.
  • Build packages that sell. Partner with our chefs on menus and event packages, and look for upsell opportunities at every turn.
  • Own the client relationship. Be the main point of contact from first inquiry to final invoice and post-event follow-up, earning referrals and repeat business.
  • Run flawless events. Manage BEOs, floor plans, and the event calendar, and oversee on-site execution from setup to breakdown.
  • Lead the team. Plan staffing with our GMs, and train and mentor banquet team members to deliver Acme-level hospitality.
  • Grow the brand. Work with our marketing team on promotions, collateral, and social content, and represent Acme in the community.
  • Track and report. Keep TripleSeat accurate, forecast bookings, and bring data-driven ideas to grow the business.

Why Acme

  • Competitive salary + commission/bonus. Salary range: $76,000-$78,000
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits + additional fringe benefits
  • Paid time off
  • Dining discounts across Acme restaurants and hotels
  • A culture built on our core values: Deliver Excellence, Embrace Originality, Act with Integrity, and Celebrate Community

Ready to grow with us? Apply at [link/email] with your résumé and a few lines about the biggest event or sales win you’re proudest of.

Acme Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act and applicable local ordinances.

Requirements

What you bring:

  • 3-5 years in event sales, private dining, catering, or hotel sales, with a record of hitting revenue goals
  • Hospitality management or supervisory experience
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
  • A genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
  • Exceptional organization and an eye for detail
  • A competitive drive, paired with honesty, humility, and a love of teaching others
  • TripleSeat experience preferred; familiarity with Ctuit, Focus POS, OpenTable, and Microsoft Office a plus

Schedule:

This is a full-time leadership role of at least 50 hours a week over 5 shifts. It includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak season.
