Job Scope/Summary

The Sales Leader is responsible for driving profitable growth for the organization by leading building, developing and guiding a team os sales professionals that produce high-impact sales initiatives, building strong client partnerships, and collaborating with technical and business experts. This role is pivotal in originating, pursuing, and closing opportunities that deliver measurable, outcome-based results for clients. The Sales Leader is recognized as a trusted advisor, bringing deep industry expertise and a strong understanding of the market landscape. S/He serves as a principle conduit between business leadership and the sales professionals that are deployed to meet bookings targets, to include in-year revenue production.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies focused on customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performance sales team to consistently achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets.

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, proactively adjusting strategies to meet dynamic market and client needs.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and product expertise within the sales team, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of offerings, pricing, and competitive differentiators.

Cultivate and expand strategic relationships with key clients, C-level stakeholders, and partners to drive business growth and long-term value.

Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to identify and capitalize on new business prospects.

Champion innovation in the sales process, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, customer support, and other business units to align on goals and deliver integrated solutions.

Ensure accurate sales forecasting and transparent reporting to support predictable, sustainable growth.

Provide coaching to supervised Sales Professionals around deal qualification, solution development, stakeholder engagement, competitive positioning, and close planning.

Oversee account plans for top-tier customers, ensuring executive alignment and long-term strategic growth.

Key Deliverables & Accountabilities

Achieve or exceed sales targets through effective forecasting, pipeline management, and execution.

Empower and coach the sales team, monitoring performance and supporting professional development.

Drive alignment across functions to deliver seamless client experiences and maximize business impact.

Stay current on industry challenges, technology trends, and the evolving needs of clients.

Maintain compliance with company policies, pricing, and licensing standards.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional Experience:

12+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 4 years in a senior sales leadership role within the IT sector.

Demonstrated success in sales strategy development, customer relationship management, and market analysis.

Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving growth in the IT market.

Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional organizations.

Skills & Qualities:

Strong leadership, influence, and team development skills.

Excellent storytelling, communication, and negotiation abilities.

Deep expertise in IT services and product sales, with a robust network of senior-level industry relationships.

Proficiency in solution and/or insight-sales methodologies (5+ years preferred).

Continuous learner, adaptable to evolving technologies and market conditions.

Fluent in written and verbal English.
