- The work
- The SAP Manufacturing Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing end‑to‑end manufacturing processes within SAP S/4HANA. This role focuses on Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Classification, and Batch Management, ensuring that all manufacturing processes support organizational strategy, compliance obligations, and integrated system requirements.
The consultant will collaborate extensively with cross‑functional teams across Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), and Project Systems (PS). This role requires strong integration expertise, deep understanding of engineering change processes, and the ability to manage master data updates originating from PLM systems.
You will lead requirement‑gathering workshops, architect scalable manufacturing solutions, define and configure production processes, and support advanced planning capabilities including MRP, pMRP, and ePP/DS. The consultant will also design complex quality processes, lead major test cycles, and support integration with MES systems such as Siemens PLM. In addition, you will coordinate work across technical teams, manage enhancements, and mentor junior team members.
Key responsibilities:
Lead requirement‑gathering workshops and design scalable manufacturing solutions aligned with business needs
Demonstrate strong integration experience with MM, SD, FI/CO, and embedded EWM
Manage Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes and oversee Materials, BOMs, and Routings updates via ECNs from PLM systems
Define and configure production planning, shop floor execution, inspection processes, batch management, and traceability requirements
Design and support MRP, predictive MRP (pMRP), and ePP/DS advanced planning scenarios
Build quality management processes including receiving, in‑process, and final inspections; quality notifications; defect handling; and CAPA
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure technical solutions satisfy all functional requirements
Lead business process design, system analysis, and solution architecture activities
Coordinate architects, developers, BASIS, Middleware, Portal teams, and business analysts for end‑to‑end solution delivery
Support the maintenance, enhancement, and development of SAP modules, including integration with MES/PLM systems (e.g., Siemens PLM, PLMSI)
Develop test strategies and manage complex integration, regression, and UAT cycles
Support planning, budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and broader work planning for manufacturing transformation initiatives
Lead and mentor team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development
Here’s what you need:
5+ years of SAP experience across PP, QM, EHS, Classification, and Batch Management
Proven team lead experience managing functional and cross‑functional teams
Eligibility requirements:
US Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
Eligible to obtain a minimum of a Secret Clearance
Must reside locally in St. Louis, MO or be willing to travel to St. Louis weekly

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. $106,300 — $246,400 USD
