Become part of Hempel’s R&D team in our brand laboratory based in Spain, Polinyà (Barcelona) . We are looking for scientists that will be passionate about developing & supporting the next generation of protective products we offer our global clients.

What you can look forward to in this Role :
Support Senior Scientists in innovation, product development and/or product maintenance for protective coatings and improve, or generate new products and processes
Plan, design, conduct and report fundamental research
Prepare experimental paints and test specimens
Evaluate current and experimental coating systems according to agreed methods, standards and customer specifications
Keep accurate, complete and produce quality reports of your activity
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest business impact of the projects
What does it take to become our new team member?
University degree in technical studies (Engineering) or Chemistry would be valuable
Good chemical background
Good Project Management Skills
Specific knowledge of the paints and coatings technologies would be valuable
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
Computer skills
