Job Description:

The Role:

Entegris is seeking a motivated Scientist II, Solution Design to join the Taiwan Technology Center (TTC) in Zhudong, Taiwan.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of advanced filtration and contamination control solutions for semiconductor applications. Working within the R&D organization, you will contribute to and execute small-scale technology development projects, investigate customer and process-related challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate technical solutions.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for early-career scientists and engineers to build expertise in product development, experimental design, and semiconductor process applications while contributing to next-generation technology solutions

In this role you will:

Design and execute technology development projects to evaluate new materials, cleaning processes and filtration solutions.

Translate customer, application, and process requirements into measurable solution needs, experimental objectives, and product or technology design criteria.

Develop and conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) to evaluate product performance and process improvements.

Analyze experimental results and generate technical recommendations based on data-driven findings.

Support root-cause analysis activities for customer and product-related issues.

Collaborate with internal teams including Applications, Product development Engineer and Metrology to solve technical problems and improve product performance.

Develop and validate test methods used to characterize filtration products and contamination control performance.

Prepare initial technical reports, analyses, and recommendations for review with experienced scientists, engineers, and project stakeholders.

Support development of new product concepts and technology solutions aligned with future semiconductor manufacturing needs.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the R&D organization.

Conduct laboratory work in accordance with applicable EHS requirements, experimental procedures, and documentation standards.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an M.S. degree with no prior industry experience required, in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical field. Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.

Entry-level candidates or professionals with up to 3 years of relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Strong scientific curiosity and passion for solving moderately complex technical problems.

Experience with laboratory experimentation, data analysis, and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of DOE and statistical analysis methods is preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Knowledge of filtration technologies, semiconductor processes, materials science, or chemical process development is a plus.

Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
