SDE2, Amazon Business - External Integrations

Build the APIs, protocols, and agentic shopping experiences that connect Amazon Business with millions of business users and thousands of partner procurement and ERP systems. As a Software Development Engineer II on Amazon Business System Integrations, you will own services end to end and see your code change how organizations buy at global scale.

You will design, build, and operate secure, reliable services, work with product managers, program managers, and partner teams to turn customer needs into technical solutions, and help shape our move into AI-driven procurement. • Key job responsibilities
• You will design, build, test, and deploy scalable, secure services and APIs that power integrations between Amazon Business and customer and partner procurement systems. You will own features end to end, from writing design documents and reviewing code to launching and supporting them in production. You will work closely with product managers, technical program managers, and other engineers to turn customer and partner needs into clear technical solutions. You will take part in on-call rotations, investigate operational issues, and improve the monitoring, reliability, and performance of your services. You will contribute to the team's engineering standards through code reviews and mentoring of junior engineers, and you will explore new approaches, including AI-driven and agentic shopping interactions, that make procurement faster and more automated.

Basic qualifications

• - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - 3+ years of building complex software systems experience
• - Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred qualifications

• - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
