As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a Seasonal Technician to join our Grand Rapids, Michigan team to work with us during our busy season from December to April. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to gain valuable experience in a technical environment.

What You'll Do

As a Technician, you'll play an important role in preparing, processing, and maintaining testing equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

• •Interacting with customers via phone and in person when receiving test equipment
• •Processing equipment into our ERA system with detailed tracking
• •Cleaning and labeling Type A shipping cases according to DOT specifications
• •Disassembling nuclear density gauges down to the component level
• •Cleaning nuclear density gauges using hand tools and solvents
• •Reading, checking, and verifying equipment numbers and records
• •Following written and verbal instructions accurately
• •Packing parts, components, and testing equipment for shipment
• •Managing multiple tasks as needed while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with their hands. The ideal candidate will have:

• •Strong attention to detail
• •Excellent punctuality and time-management skills
• •The ability to multitask and stay organized
• •The ability to receive, process, and track testing equipment
• •Comfort reading and verifying numbers and identifying information
• •Experience using common hand tools
• •The ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• •Basic computer skills
• •A valid driver's license and good driving record

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to:

• •Lift up to 75 lbs.
• •Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• •Use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects or controls
• •Reach with hands and arms
• •Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch
• •Communicate effectively in person and by telephone
