Job Description:
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.
We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.
This role is supporting the “Shift-Left-Approach" to shift security responsibilities to those creating software and shift it to the beginning of the process. The responsibility is to define our secure coding standards and continuously enhance our secure coding guidance and security best practices on different levels so that this is easy to consume for our developers, but also satisfies external and regulatory requests.
Responsibilities
Update the secure coding standards, including secure code snippets as good practices. Continuously enhance security guidance documents and confluence pages to address engineering languages, architectures, and frameworks.
Prepare and perform training sessions and engage with our engineering community. You are supporting our development communities with patterns on how to embed security in the software development.
You collaborate with various SMEs and communities of practice across the Bank, including Community of Security Champions and others, to educate them on security topics (risks and mitigation actions).
Constantly learn and research security standards and technologies, including AI Security and others, and translate them into security awareness for engineers.
Participate in the Threat Modelling sessions to help the application teams identify threats early and to mitigate them from the design phase.
Skills
- Security knowledge about security standards (ISO 27001), OWASP Top 10 (e.g. Encryption, Security Certificates, Authorization & Authentication, Configuration etc), STRIDE etc
- Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle processes and tools used by developers
- You have a strong application security culture and experience and like spreading security awareness across teams
- Knowledge in software development and coding (e.g. Java language and frameworks) would be a plus
- Ability to interact with numerous teams and influence developers to adopt security in their daily work
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
