Securities Operations Associate

About this role:

At Wells Fargo, a Securities Operations Associate supports the execution of securities transactions and operational activities across the trade lifecycle. You’ll be responsible for the processing, settlement, reconciliation, and servicing of securities transactions, as well as ensuring trades, cash movements, and account activity are completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with risk and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will:

• •Process basic securities-related transactions and support activities across the trade lifecycle
• •Support cash movement, funding, and account servicing activities
• •Research and resolve routine operational issues, exceptions, and inquiries
• •Conduct daily production activities and ensure timely, accurate execution of operational processes
• •Adhere to established policies, procedures, controls, and risk management practices
• •Support client onboarding, securities settlement, and reconciliation activities
• •Collaborate with internal partners to deliver consistent operational support and service
• •Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• •6+ months of securities operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• •Experience in Asset Servicing or Securities Operations, with knowledge of the securities trade lifecycle.
• •Hands-on experience processing mandatory corporate actions, including stock splits, stock dividends, and spin-offs.
• •Working knowledge of record-date calculations and payment processing for bonds, CMOs, dividends, and other securities.
• •Ability to accurately process transactions, investigate exceptions, and support timely reconciliation and settlement activities.
• •Strong attention to detail with an understanding of operational controls, risk, and accuracy requirements.
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal partners.

Desired Qualifications:

• •Understanding of trade settlement, reconciliation, cash movements, and exception management.
• •Working knowledge of securities operations controls, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve operational exceptions.
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools used for reporting and operational analysis.
• •Relevant education, training, or industry certifications in finance, securities, capital markets, or related disciplines are a plus.

Job Expectations:

• •Ability to work a 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST shift.
• •This role follows a hybrid work model.
• •Flexibility to meet business and operational requirements as needed.
• •Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and business partners across teams and locations.
