Security Engineer II, Amazon Stores Security Healthcare

Amazon Healthcare Security's (HealthSec) team is hiring a Security Engineer II to protect Amazon One Medical's network infrastructure. As a team lead you will assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate security controls into rapidly evolving operational systems.

Working closely with security engineers and product teams, you will safeguard the networks, devices, and workflows that power Amazon's healthcare operations.

• Key job responsibilities
• Lead security investigations in partnership with other organizations

Act as team Lead and provide operational guidance to your peers

Conduct security reviews of network architecture, automation tools, and infrastructure

Perform risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities in workflows

Implement security best practices including network security, identity management, and secure system deployment

Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security controls

Support security incident investigations related to infrastructure

Develop and maintain security documentation including, risk assessments, and security guidelines

Drive security automation efforts including monitoring and alerting for key security risks

Effectively communicate with executives regarding key events and progress on investigations

Basic qualifications

• - 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
• - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• - Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• - Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

• - 2+ years of any combination of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
• - Experience with AWS products and services
• - Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
