Job Summary for Security Guard

The Security Guard oversees site security operations to protect employees, customers, assets, and facilities while supporting a safe and controlled environment during auction operations. This role manages security coverage, policies, and incident response protocols across auction property, including vehicle lots, buildings, and sale-day operations.

Work Hours for Security Guard

• •Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 1pm – 7pm
• •Thursday 1pm – 8pm
• •Friday 11am – 8pm
• •Saturday 12pm – 4pm

Responsibilities for Security Guard

• •Monitor facility access and ensure secure entry and exit for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
• •Patrol the property to help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security concerns.
• •Investigate and document security incidents and assist with implementing corrective actions.
• •Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and security partners when needed.
• •Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and documentation.
• •Support auction sale-day operations by assisting with crowd management, traffic flow, and overall site security.
• •Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements for Security Guard

• •At least 21 years of age.
• •Valid driver's license.
• •Good driving record.
• •Able to pass pre-employment screening.
• •High school diploma or equivalent required.
• •Security, loss prevention, law enforcement, military, or related security experience is required.

Physical Requirements for Security Guard

• •Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods across lots and facilities.
• •Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• •Ability to respond quickly to incidents and navigate active operational areas safely.
• •Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds (cones, barriers, signage, equipment).
