Job Summary
Under general supervision, works to leverage and optimize security technology to foster a secure environment. In collaboration with IT, this individual provides oversight into the installation and management of security technology. DHHA security technology includes, but is not limited to access control, CCTV, duress buttons, and infant protection. Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand how technology can improve the security of our staff, patients, and visitors. Ensures that technology fits into the security program's priorities and operations.
Essential Functions :
- Works collaboratively with the department administrative team to execute on program goals and objectives. (15%)
- Provides logistical coordination and support for installation of new hardware. (15%)
- Manages badging and key workflows as dictated by department need (10%)
- Offers creative ideas on how to improve existing technology, reduce cost, and/or ideas for new security program opportunities. (10%)
- Performs audits on existing systems to ensure functionality and to meet any regulations. (10%)
- Works with the SOC to ensure appropriate and continuous monitoring of technologies. (10%)
- Effectively communicates and educates staff on security technology. (10%)
- Reports to leadership or committee on status of security systems when requested. (10%)
- Responds to internal inquiries about operations and fiscal procedures, data sources, mechanisms, and tracking tools. (10%)
Education :
High School Diploma or GED required
Work Experience :
4-6 years managing security technologies in a security operations or IT role required
Licenses :
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Knowledge and application of project planning, development, and implementation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion with information.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to provide input on projects/programs, assist with associated work plans, and able to manage the day to day execution of assigned projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively one to one as well as within a group delivering engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations.
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience SharePoint preferred.
