Job Description

Job Description & responsibilities:

• •Lead and execute global sourcing and commodity strategies for semiconductors that support key business objectives, including time to market, cost reduction, lead-time improvement, supply continuity, and successful product ramp-up and ramp-down.
• •Communicate commodity strategies across the organization, the Business Units and NPI Operations to ensure sourcing decisions and product development aligns with strategic supplier selections
• •Formulate negotiation strategy to proactively drive cost reduction with suppliers in a complex, high / low volume environment to meet strategic, operational and financial performance targets
• •Understand semiconductor architectures and their interaction with embedded software, firmware, SDKs, development tools, licensing, and software ecosystems when evaluating suppliers and technologies.
• •Maintain total ownership of assigned semiconductor commodities, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial performance, risk management, and supplier relationship management.
• •Support the negotiations of complex agreements with suppliers encompassing key program specifications and functional objectives
• •Responsible for total supplier performance: measure and manage vs. key targets, compliance to agreements and implementing improvement roadmaps to address gaps
• •Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) with suppliers & be able to effectively communicate with executive teams. Transform multiple and complex streams of information into simple, clear and concise terms to be presented to stakeholders
• •Partner with Product cost engineering to develop and maintain predictive cost models incorporating component cost drivers, risk profiles, lifecycle considerations, and End-of-Life.
• •Develop Total Cost of Ownership calculations.
• •Establish strong partnerships with the Contract Manufacturing procurement teams & lead oversight of product supply chain from an escalation stand point including capacity analysis, safety stock, flexibility & distribution network.
• •Assess supply risks and establish mitigation strategies, including alternative sources, capacity planning, safety stock, and business continuity plans.
• •Lead semiconductor market intelligence, including technology trends, capacity, lead times, lifecycle/EOL, pricing, tariffs, and geopolitical or supply risks.
• •Domestic and international travel up to 15%

Qualifications:

• •4-7 years of experience in semiconductor sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related high-technology environment.
• •Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry, embedded systems, and hardware/software technology ecosystems.
• •Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost management, and supply-risk mitigation.
• •Ability to understand technical specifications, BOMs, semiconductor roadmaps, and product requirements.
• •Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• •Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with a high degree of integrity and accountability.

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $107,400-$147,750.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
