The Account Manager on the Tech team is a key client-facing role on GLG’s Corporate Sales team that plays a vital part in GLG's relationships with leading Enterprise Tech companies. This role will specifically contribute to the management of GLG’s largest Corporate client relationships with the largest tech companies. The Account Manager engages and manages client relationships, helping them fully realize the value of GLG’s platform. They will have responsibility to develop both large and mid-sized firms, collaborating with a team of Client Solutions and Research professionals to bring new project ideas to clients. At GLG, you will have both the opportunity to progress quickly and to also work in a collaborative environment.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Account Growth: Maintain and expand an existing book of business; identify, develop, and capture new business opportunities within current logos.

Strategic Outreach: Identify target prospects in priority markets and drive outreach strategies to develop the sales pipeline.

Account Mapping: Build and update comprehensive account maps detailing key departments and stakeholders.

Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers across all seniority levels (Manager to C-level) and functions.

Pitching & Presentations: Develop compelling pitch materials and deliver high-impact presentations that articulate the value of GLG's full service suite.

Commercial Strategy: Work alongside sales leadership to develop account plans and uncover new growth opportunities.

Operational Excellence: Meticulously track the sales pipeline in CRM, following all sales processes and providing accurate KPI reporting to senior management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Research) to ensure seamless execution and delivery of research projects.

Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry news and client developments to identify emerging business needs.

Client Engagement: Organize and execute internal/external client meetings, including regular travel to client sites to build long-term partnerships.

An ideal candidate will have the following:

5 years of work experience in an Account Management/Sales role in relevant industries

Proven experience managing performance to quota and tracking account health over time

Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to make consultative enterprise-level sales, as well as to develop, build and execute account expansion plans by coordinating resources across multiple client service teams

Comfortable articulating the value of primary research and GLG’s research platform to large and small audiences alike – including an ability to convey how research needs differ by client persona

Clear understanding of and hands on experience with creating and delivering “best in class” client service strategies and operating models

Impeccable attention to detail, ideally in a high-volume and fast-paced environment

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Executive presence, the ability to interact with senior executives and professionals

The highest level of integrity and professionalism

Demonstrated ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility
