Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting to join our Controllership Team. This is a hybrid position, with requirements for US hours during month-end close. As a Senior Accountant, you'll own key areas of our monthly and quarterly close and take a lead role in designing and maintaining scalable procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP. This includes key areas such as month-end accruals, OPEX accounting, and key accounting estimates. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, works independently, partners well across functions, and consistently meets deadlines while managing shifting priorities.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, you will own core close workstreams, maintain GL and systems integrity, and partner with FP&A to strengthen accruals and close coordination. You'll join a highly motivated corporate accounting team to modernize how we close — including embracing AI and automation to scale our processes.

You Will:

Own month-end and quarter-end close activities including journal entries, OPEX accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations, continuously identifying opportunities to compress the timeline.

Ensure accuracy and adherence to US GAAP and accounting policies for all assigned accounting areas and monthly close activities.

Perform monthly flux/variance analysis, identifying and explaining material movements to finance leadership.

Collaborate with FP&A and department leaders to analyze and explain monthly actual vs. budget variances.

Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls

Use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to automate manual work, identify process improvements, and accelerate the close, while documenting new and existing processes.

Serve as a key contributor to the annual external audit, owning PBC items across your GL areas.

Partner with FP&A, Payroll, Benefits, Immigration, and Legal to solve operational accounting challenges and contribute to cross-functional process improvements.

Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed by the Finance department.

You Have:

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.

Active CA/CPA or CA/CPA candidate preferred.

4+ years of accounting experience; a combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accrual accounting, month-end close, and general ledger operations.

Demonstrated experience performing flux/variance analysis and communicating findings clearly to finance leadership.

Experience with intercompany transactions and multi-entity environments; foreign currency transaction experience preferred.

Advanced Excel proficiency – comfortable with large datasets, pivot tables, and complex formulas.

Familiarity with technical matters such as Leases (ASC 842), Internal-Use Software (ASC 350-40), Capitalized Commissions (ASC 340-40) a plus.

Proficiency with NetSuite or equivalent ERP systems; experience with FloQast and Zip is a plus.

Hands-on proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) applied to accounting workflows preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with all levels of personnel.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated track record of ownership, integrity, and self-motivation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate accounting findings clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively both within a team environment and independently.
