We are seeking a talented individual to join our Actuarial Consulting team within Marsh Investments and Retirement. This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Senior Analyst, you will support delivery of a range of Actuarial projects across superannuation (both defined benefit and defined contribution) and life insurance within superannuation, which include preparation of actuarial valuation reports, benefits modelling, strategy and retirement income projects, capital projections, and group insurance pricing reviews.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside Marsh’s leading Actuarial consultants to solve issues including business sustainability and efficiency, competitive product offerings, and retirement income strategies. You will work with team members on client deliverables, provide input to business development activities, and provide support to junior colleagues.
We will count on you to:
- Deliver client ready work within agreed timeframes, delegating to and checking Analysts’ work as appropriate
- Prepare Actuarial Funding Investigations and Financial Condition Reports.
- Prepare calculations specific to accounting and/or APRA standards for regulatory reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Undertake general actuarial modelling, spreadsheet modelling and valuation calculations to support insights that necessitate data-driven decision-making.
- Respond to queries and requests from clients, including participation in client meetings.
- Support consulting projects in product, strategy, retirement incomes and insurance in super.
- Support broader business initiatives during non-peak periods, such as internal efficiency improvements and intellectual capital development.
What you need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in technical actuarial work, preferably 3+ years
- Strong communication with an inclusive and collaborative mindset
- Interest in generating data-driven insights
- Pursuit of actuarial professional qualifications
If you have a strong client focus, like to solve complex problems, have a keen eye for detail and have a passion for creating better lives, then we need you to help superannuation funds, employers and insurers navigate some of the biggest challenges of our time.
What makes you stand out:
- Experience in a consulting or superannuation environment
- VBA or other programming skill proficiency
Why join our team:
- We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
- We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
