Senior Analyst (Natural Resources - Energy, Power and Chemicals), Investment Banking, Hong Kong

Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.

Citi Investment Bank provides advisory, debt and equity capital markets solutions for corporations, governments and financial institutions

The Investment Banking Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

Responsibilities:

• •Work with senior Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory (BCMA) professionals and participate in client transaction projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team
• •Responsible for organizing and analyzing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans
• •Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals
• •Conduct economic/financial research
• •Evaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends
• •Build complex financial models for valuation purposes
• •Contribute to building Citi’s franchise

Recommended Qualifications:

• •2-3 years of relevant experience
• •Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures
• •Experience creating financial analyses
• •Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
• •Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• •Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
