Senior Application Security Developer

About the Role

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Application Security Developer to join our global Information Security organization. This is a senior hands-on engineering role responsible for designing, building, and scaling security-focused applications, integrations, and AI-powered solutions across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with architecture experience, cloud platforms, and modern AI development. You will help define engineering standards, drive secure development practices, and lead the creation of enterprise-scale automation and agent-based solutions used across global security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design and develop applications, automations, and integrations using Python and Node.js.
• •Build enterprise-scale AI agents, agentic workflows, and reusable AI frameworks using AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, and related technologies.
• •Design and implement integrations across security platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud services.
• •Develop and maintain REST, SOAP, and MCP integrations.
• •Lead infrastructure and deployment automation using Terraform, AWS CDK, and Ansible.
• •Support CI/CD engineering, DevSecOps practices, and GitLab automation.
• •Establish secure coding standards, engineering patterns, and development guardrails.
• •Partner with Security, Architecture, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Data, and Development teams globally.
• •Document solutions, architecture decisions, and technical standards.

Required Qualifications

• •6+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Application Security, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, or related fields.
• •Strong hands-on development experience with Python and Node.js.
• •Experience designing and building applications from architecture through production deployment.
• •Experience developing AI agents, agentic workflows, or AI-powered applications.
• •Strong knowledge of AWS services, including AWS Bedrock, Terraform, AWS CDK, and cloud-native architectures.
• •Experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, enterprise integrations, and MCP concepts.
• •Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD and secure deployment practices.
• •Experience designing large-scale platforms, system architecture, and database integrations.
• •Experience building enterprise solutions from scratch, not only consuming existing APIs.
• •Strong understanding of secure software development and secure-by-design principles.
• •Experience with Snowflake, enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, or data engineering concepts.
• •Advanced English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• •Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• •Experience defining engineering standards and leading technical delivery.
• •AWS, Azure, CSSLP, or related certifications.
