Role profile:

Securities Clearing Operations ensures that all trades are accurately registered, netted, instructed, and settled within agreed timeframes. This team plays a critical role in enabling the RepoClear and EquityClear services to meet their legal, regulatory, and operational obligations across multiple trading platforms.

As part of the wider LCH Ltd Operations function, Securities Clearing Operations collaborates closely with CaLM, First Line Risk, and the RepoClear and EquityClear business teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality clearing services.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Based in Manila, you will help ensure that trades are accurately registered, netted, and settled across a range of Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) and International CSDs (ICSDs). You will work closely with members, agents, CSDs, and ICSDs to support timely settlement, accurate reconciliation, and smooth day‑to‑day operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Manage daily operational activities to ensure trades are correctly registered, netted, and settled on time, completing checklists with accuracy and consistency.

Monitor and process corporate actions for cash equities, helping protect LCH from risk while meeting delivery and settlement obligations.

Proactively oversee settlement positions across all LCH markets, investigate issues or delays, and take timely action to resolve them in line with internal and external policies.

Communicate clearly and professionally with Clearing Members when issues arise, providing timely updates and guidance.

Work with CSDs, ICSDs, settlement agents, and external service providers to resolve operational concerns.

Identify operational issues, log them appropriately, take ownership through to resolution, raise incidents, and escalate when needed.

Build and maintain strong knowledge of RepoClear and EquityClear products, including the full lifecycle from trade registration to settlement and the underlying instruments and corporate actions.

Collaborate with colleagues in London and across other business teams to strengthen cross‑departmental understanding.

Respond promptly to Clearing Member queries via phone or email, delivering excellent service through strong communication and subject‑matter expertise.

Maintain strong relationships with Clearing Members, especially those involved in EquityClear business with LCH Ltd.

Take ownership of your development by identifying skills gaps, building actionable development plans, and proactively working toward subject‑matter expertise.

Manage your workload independently with minimal supervision while supporting team members when capacity allows.

Maintain and update static data across the clearing platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness to support operational readiness.

Reconcile nostro and depot accounts daily, ensure correct funding decisions, avoid overdraft charges, and resolve breaks quickly.

Recommend new ideas and opportunities to drive innovation, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

Support the implementation of operational controls and risk management requirements.

Ensure all internal procedures are followed, regularly reviewed, kept up‑to‑date, and accurately maintained.

Participate in Internal Audit reviews when required.

Follow departmental security policies, including email confidentiality and data protection.

Maintain awareness of business continuity procedures and your role within them.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), rules, regulations, and relevant operational procedures.

Monitor Clearing Member performance and escalate concerns when appropriate.

Apply a strong understanding of the incident management process to ensure incidents are reported promptly, clearly, and accurately.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent field of study.

Solid Excel skills (must‑have).

Experience working with analytical or reporting tools such as Power BI or other data‑visualisation platforms (nice to have).

Familiarity with SWIFT messaging (advantageous).

Experience in back‑office operations, settlements, Corporate Actions or a similar environment (beneficial).
