### What to Expect
- Gigafactory Berlin forms the perfect foundation for rolling out Tesla’s success story across Europe. Our employees are the most important pillar of this mission. Their passion, motivation, and engagement drive us to consistently achieve ambitious goals. We are looking for a Senior Business Integration Engineer to help expand this success story by leading the systems integration of new production lines and elevating manufacturing IT capabilities. As a Senior Business Integration Engineer you will take ownership of facilitating and driving the setup of new production lines across stamping, casting, paint, general assembly, powertrain, and other manufacturing areas. You will lead stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and prioritization, then translate those needs into robust system configurations and integration solutions.
- You will operate hands-on where required and effectively direct/collaborate with support teams to deliver line integrations on time and at quality. A core part of your mandate is mentoring and developing the support team on shop-floor production processes, ensuring deep process knowledge is embedded in how systems are configured, supported, and improved. You will act as a bridge between process engineering, operations, and IT combining strong manufacturing domain expertise with systems thinking to enable successful line launches and scalable integrations.
### What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end business and systems integration for new production lines (stamping, casting, paint, general assembly, powertrain, and additional shops) from requirements through go-live and ramp-up
- Own stakeholder management across manufacturing, process engineering, operations, and IT; proactively gather, challenge, prioritize, and align requirements and roadmaps
- Translate complex business and process requirements into clear system configurations, integration designs, user stories, and technical specifications in our factory execution systems
- Drive hands-on system configuration work and/or lead the support team in delivering the required integrations for new and existing lines
- Mentor, coach, and upskill engineering teams on shop-floor production processes, manufacturing workflows, and best practices so they can independently support integrations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
- Analyze production and business processes to identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for better system enablement and standardization
- Create and maintain high-quality process maps, training and integration documentation
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting, training, and escalation leadership during line installation, commissioning, and steady-state operations
- Monitor integration progress, actively manage risks, dependencies, and priorities, and keep all stakeholders aligned on status and decisions
- Define, track, and report KPIs related to line integration readiness, system performance, quality of handovers, and business impact
- Build and continuously improve knowledge resources, standards, and ways of working for the integrations/engineering teams
- Contribute to the broader manufacturing systems strategy and help scale integration practices across multiple shops and projects
### What You’ll Bring
- Strong background in manufacturing operations or process engineering within automotive or high-volume production
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business integration, manufacturing systems, process-to-IT translation, or a closely related senior individual-contributor / technical lead role
- Proven track record of leading requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and delivery of system configurations/integrations for production environments
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on with systems while effectively directing and developing support teams
- Experience mentoring others on shop-floor production processes and bridging process engineering knowledge into IT/systems work
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and senior-level stakeholder management skills
- Experience using Jira (or similar) for requirements, backlog, and delivery tracking
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple high-priority workstreams, and thrive in a fast-paced production launch environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a strong plus)
- Willingness and ability to spend significant time on the shop floor working directly with production, process, and support teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with high attention to detail and a bias for action.
- Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement. We OfferYou will be working in our state-of-the-art Gigafactory, where you’ll solve the world's most interesting problems with the best and brightest people who share a passion to change the world. Tesla’s compensation package includes competitive salary and Tesla shares or bonuses. Typical benefits that are offered are a pension program, 30 vacation days, flexible work arrangements, employee insurances, relocation and commuting support.
