The Senior Business Operations Manager is responsible for improving the operational structure, reporting and day-to-day governance that help the business run efficiently and consistently. This is a Senior Manager role: it requires strong, varied operational experience, the ability to lead medium-to-large or more complex cross-functional initiatives with some oversight, and the judgement to make well-reasoned recommendations that balance impact, risk and practicality. The role combines revenue operations, business analysis, process improvement, and quality management as part of a broader business operations remit. It works closely with the Head of Operations, the wider Operations function, the Go-To-Market team, and company-wide stakeholders to turn business priorities into clear processes, reliable reporting and practical operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

Revenue operations and Salesforce

Maintain and improve the revenue operations framework across GTM, including pipeline governance, forecasting cadence, sales process discipline and commercial reporting.

Your team acts as the business owner for Salesforce and connected revenue systems, ensuring they support current, often high stakes, operating needs, data quality and consistent adoption.

Support on integration and usage of other relevant systems and how they form the process, such as Planhat and Clari.

Define, monitor and interpret key commercial metrics such as bookings, recurring revenue, conversion rates, deal cycle, retention, productivity and forecast accuracy. Drive data consistency in both usage and interpretation across teams as it relates to measuring commercial health.

Document core processes, workflows and data definitions so commercial reporting remains reliable and easy to maintain in Confluence.

Train and support users to drive consistent usage, reduce process friction and improve reporting confidence.

PowerBI, reporting and analysis

Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and operational reporting packs for leadership and functional teams.

Respond to analysis requests from across the business, clarifying the business question, sourcing the right data and presenting clear, actionable findings.

Build reporting that helps the business understand performance, diagnose issues and make decisions with confidence.

Improve data consistency, definitions and reporting processes across teams.

Use analysis to support business cases, process changes, investment decisions and operational priorities.

Operational excellence and process improvement

Design, document and improve business processes so they are scalable, efficient and easy to follow. This could be across a wide range of areas, from Alliances, Marketing, Procurement, and more.

Define and lead medium-to-large cross-functional operational projects from diagnosis through to implementation and adoption, with appropriate oversight from senior leaders.

Proactively identify bottlenecks, duplication, control gaps and opportunities for improvement within Operations and across related functions, then recommend practical solutions that reduce cost, risk or manual effort. Provide support to implement these recommendations.

Establish operating rhythms, review cadences and governance forums that create accountability and visibility across the business.

Support change management by communicating the context, purpose and value of work clearly, engaging stakeholders and embedding new ways of working.

ISO9001 and quality management

Own the ongoing maintenance of ISO9001 accreditation and ensure the quality management system remains effective, current and audit-ready.

Coordinate internal audits, external assessments, corrective actions and continuous improvement activity.

Maintain quality documentation, process controls, evidence records and governance materials.

Work with process owners to ensure quality standards are embedded into day-to-day business operations.

Track non-conformities, risks and improvement actions through to completion.

People leadership and team development

Define and align team goals with the Operations direction, setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable for delivery.

Manage workload, priorities, performance and an allocated team budget where applicable, balancing multiple high-priority deadlines and responding calmly to unexpected risks or issues.

Build capability within the team through regular feedback, mentorship, development planning and knowledge sharing, with limited people growth decisions made with supervisory approval.

Create a motivating, cohesive and engaging team environment by providing context, making clear decisions and ensuring feedback and priorities are transparent.

Promote cross-functional collaboration by documenting knowledge, sharing learnings and building trusted relationships with peers and stakeholders.

Skills and experience

Strong, varied experience in business operations, revenue operations, sales operations, commercial operations or a similar role, typically including 3-5 years of management experience.

Strong Salesforce ownership or administration experience, with the ability to translate business needs into practical system and process requirements.

Confident with PowerBI reporting and data visualisation capability, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Commercial awareness and confidence working with revenue, pipeline, forecasting and performance data.

Experience defining and leading medium-to-large cross-functional projects or initiatives, managing senior stakeholders independently and navigating ambiguity with sound judgement.

Understanding of ISO9001, quality management systems, audit preparation and continuous improvement principles.

People management experience, including coaching, prioritisation, performance management and team development.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data or process issues clearly to different audiences.

Organised, pragmatic and resilient, with the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on delivery, say no constructively where needed and keep a solutions-focused approach.
