Envitia is a UK-based software and services company that helps organisations unlock the full value of their data to make better, faster decisions. With over 30 years of experience, we specialise in delivering innovative software products, solutions, and consultancy services that transform complex data challenges into actionable insights.

Our mission is to empower customers across defence, government, and national security sectors to harness the power of data — from geospatial intelligence to advanced analytics and AI integration. We are proud to be a trusted partner to UK defence and government organisations, delivering technology that drives smarter, data-driven outcomes.

We’re also delighted to have been named one of The Sunday Times Top 100 Medium-Sized Companies — a recognition of our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and creating an outstanding workplace where people can thrive.

The Role

As a Senior Business & Transformation Consultant, you will help organisations tackle complex challenges, shape strategic change, and deliver lasting business outcomes. Working closely with customers, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and practical delivery, helping to design and implement solutions that improve services, operating models, organisational effectiveness, and ways of working.

You will work with senior stakeholders to understand business needs, define clear and achievable outcomes, and guide organisations through change from early discovery and analysis through to implementation, adoption, and benefits realisation. Along the way, you will collaborate with specialists across business analysis, architecture, service design, change management, and transformation disciplines to ensure solutions are both deliverable and sustainable.

We're looking for a consultant with a strong track record in business transformation, organisational change, business architecture, enterprise architecture, service design, operating model design, business analysis, or a related discipline. You'll bring the ability to navigate ambiguity, engage confidently with stakeholders, and translate complex business problems into practical recommendations that deliver measurable value.

At Envitia, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful transformation programmes across government, defence, national security, and other complex environments, helping customers create better services, improve operational performance, and achieve their strategic goals.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Business & Transformation Consultant, you'll work closely with customers to understand complex challenges, shape future-state solutions, and deliver meaningful organisational change. You'll play a key role throughout the transformation lifecycle, from discovery and strategy through to implementation, adoption, and benefits realisation.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading discovery activities, stakeholder engagement, workshops, and business analysis to understand customer objectives, challenges, and opportunities.

Translating complex or ambiguous business needs into clear recommendations, requirements, roadmaps, and transformation plans.

Assessing current operating environments and helping customers design future business capabilities, operating models, governance structures, and organisational approaches.

Developing business architectures, capability models, transformation roadmaps, and practical plans that connect strategic goals with achievable outcomes.

Supporting organisations through change by assessing impacts, engaging stakeholders, driving adoption, and helping teams transition to new ways of working.

Designing customer-centred services, processes, organisational structures, and operating models that improve performance and deliver measurable value.

Working collaboratively with architects, analysts, service designers, engineers, delivery teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned and deliverable.

Helping organisations measure success by defining outcomes, performance indicators, benefits, and adoption metrics.

Supporting the delivery of transformation programmes by prioritising activities, managing dependencies, and ensuring a clear link between business objectives and realised benefits.

Contributing to business development activities, including proposals, bids, client presentations, and the development of new consulting opportunities.

Sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the continued growth of Envitia's consulting capability and service offerings.

Skills & Experience Required

We're looking for a consultant who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery experience, helping customers solve complex business challenges and successfully deliver change. You may have built your career in business analysis, architecture, organisational design, service design, change management, or transformation consulting, but you'll bring the ability to work across multiple disciplines and confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience delivering business transformation, consulting, business analysis, enterprise architecture, business architecture, service design, operating model design, organisational design, change management, or benefits management initiatives.

The ability to turn complex or ambiguous business challenges into clear, actionable recommendations, roadmaps, and outcomes.

A strong understanding of how strategy, people, processes, technology, information, and organisational change come together to deliver business value.

Experience working with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and subject matter experts to move ideas from concept through to implementation and adoption.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess options, identify risks, and make informed recommendations.

Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.

The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and build credibility across business and technical communities.

A collaborative, outcome-focused approach with strong personal ownership and professional judgement.

Desirable Experience

Experience working within Defence, National Security, Intelligence, Central Government, or other highly regulated environments.

Experience supporting bids, proposals, consulting engagements, or business growth activities.

Experience leading transformation workstreams, discovery activities, change initiatives, or multidisciplinary teams.

Familiarity with recognised business analysis, architecture, service design, change management, programme delivery, or consulting frameworks.

Experience designing or implementing target operating models, service transformation programmes, or organisational change initiatives.

Experience delivering transformations that combine business, data, and technology change.

Security Clearance Requirements

Due to the nature of our work, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.

This role offers flexible and remote working, with travel to our Horsham office approximately two days per month and occasional travel to customer sites across the UK as required.
