Senior C# .NET Application Developer (Hybrid)

Position Summary

DSSI / Amicus is seeking an experienced Senior C# .NET Application Developer to join our Information Technology team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting DSSI's Source-to-Pay suite of applications.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, full-stack developer who can work closely with business process teams, project coordinators, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable, and user-friendly technology solutions.

You will play an important role in expanding the functionality and usability of DSSI's core applications, including both front-end user experience improvements and back-end application functionality. This position also provides an opportunity to work with a diverse technology environment that includes .NET, SQL Server, IBM i/AS400, DB2, web services, XML/JSON, and e-procurement integrations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications supporting DSSI's Source-to-Pay business processes.
• •Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• •Work closely with business process teams, project coordinators, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• •Develop new functionality and enhancements to existing applications, including both user interface and back-end capabilities.
• •Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications and production issues.
• •Develop and maintain applications and services deployed on web servers.
• •Design and implement software using established object-oriented programming and enterprise application development practices.
• •Develop and maintain integrations using RESTful Web Services, Web API, XML, JSON, and related technologies.
• •Work with relational databases, including SQL Server, and integrate applications with existing IBM i/AS400 and DB2 systems.
• •Participate in application architecture, system integration, database design, and technical solution development.
• •Take ownership of assigned projects and development initiatives, ensuring quality deliverables and on-time completion.
• •Create and maintain appropriate technical documentation, including application documentation, help text, testing requirements and results, programmer comments, and object descriptions.
• •Develop and execute unit and integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing as required.
• •Support user training and assist business users with the adoption of new and enhanced functionality.
• •Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and usability.
• •Participate in code reviews and follow established IT development standards, procedures, and best practices.
• •Stay current with emerging technologies, development practices, and industry trends relevant to the organization's technology environment.
• •Collaborate with other developers and IT team members and provide technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced developers.
• •Support the organization's goals for business development, service delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement through effective use of technology.
• •Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Processing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• •6+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting web-based applications using C# and .NET.
• •6+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including database development and SQL programming.
• •4+ years of experience with Telerik UI controls and object-oriented enterprise application development.
• •Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET / .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX and Web-based application development
• •3+ years of experience developing RESTful web services and Web API integrations.
• •Experience developing and integrating XML and JSON-based interfaces.
• •Knowledge of relational database design, development, and integration.
• •Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software development methodologies, database methodologies, and system integration practices.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• •Ability to understand business processes and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• •Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small, collaborative IT team.
• •Willingness and ability to mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge.
• •Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and acquire new technical skills as business and technology requirements evolve.

Preferred / Additional Experience

The following experience is preferred but not required:

• •Experience working with IBM i / AS400 and IBM DB2.
• •Experience with cXML and OCI PunchOut integrations.
• •Experience with e-procurement, Source-to-Pay, ERP, or B2B integration platforms.
• •Experience integrating applications with external customer, supplier, or third-party systems.
• •Experience with enterprise application modernization or migration initiatives.
• •Experience working in an environment supporting multiple business applications and integrations.
