- Employment type: Full time · Regular travel to project sites
- Reports to: Global Head of Carbon Operations
- About Bridge Carbon
- Bridge Carbon develops high-integrity carbon projects across Africa and Asia, with a strong focus on improved cookstove (clean cooking) programmes that reduce emissions and improve the health and livelihoods of communities. Every project we deliver must meet the requirements of its carbon standard and methodology, and our operations are built around protecting the integrity of the credits we generate.
- The Role
- We are looking for an experienced Senior Carbon Operations Manager to lead how our clean cooking carbon projects are launched, piloted and delivered on the ground.
You will be the operational lead for new project launches and pilots, the key link between our Carbon Operations and Carbon Integrity teams, and the person who makes sure that field activities across all countries are consistent, well documented and verification-ready.
You will work closely with our Regional Directors in East Africa and South-East Asia, country leadership, and our Carbon Integrity, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing and Procurement & Logistics teams.
What You Will Do
- Project launches
- Coordinate the stand-up of new carbon projects with Regional Directors, embedding carbon and operational requirements from day one
- Build standard launch protocols and checklists, track milestones and flag risks early
- Community and local authority engagement
- Develop engagement protocols and SOPs aligned with carbon standard and methodology requirements
- Train and support country teams to deliver and document community engagement consistently
- Field operations and SOPs
- Design process flows and SOPs for the full cookstove life cycle, from deployment to stove champion visits, repairs, reinstallations and replacements
- Work with the Quality Manager on survey requirements, SOP roll-out and training
- Carbon integrity
- Keep carbon outputs at the centre of operational decisions and support verification readiness
- Flag operational decisions with carbon integrity implications for leadership resolution
- Pilots
- Define stove design requirements with our manufacturing team
- Manage pilots end to end, including scope, budget, timelines, cross-functional input and recommendations on scaling
- Implementation
- Manage schedules, milestones and trackers across our improved cookstove projects
- Coordinate procurement needs with country teams and Procurement & Logistics
- Resolve data-quality issues affecting implementation and carbon reporting
- What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally on clean cooking or other carbon projects, in roles of increasing responsibility
- Strong technical understanding of clean cooking and the carbon sector
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-country projects with milestone planning, risk tracking and stakeholder management
- Experience working on or with projects in Africa and Asia, with cross-functional and distributed teams
- Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree strongly preferred)
- Who You Are
- You bring structure to complex and changing situations, get things done through people you don't directly manage, and hold yourself and others accountable with fairness. Above all, you are committed to integrity, accuracy and real climate impact.
