Position Overview
The Senior Client Service Associate is responsible for supporting Trust Administration within the Personal Trust Services Division. This position is responsible for the review and process of various operations and trust accounting functions within Trust Administration. Responsibilities include the opening and closing of accounts, performing accounting functions related to trust accounts, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions in accordance with established procedures. Provides administrative support to team members and clients by performing a variety of complex duties in the areas of client service, planning, investment management, office administration and/or accounting to serve and assist in meeting client goals and providing the highest quality client service.
This role will work out of either the Columbus, GA or Nashville, TN location.
Principal Accountabilities
Supports Trust Advisors and other Personal Trust Services personnel administratively in the delivery of services to clients and in coordination with advisors:
Provides support for opening and closing assigned accounts
- Performs all opening activities including asset funding, documents, files, statements, compliance and CIP guidelines, checklists, and other special requirements in accordance with established procedures
- Facilitates closing account activities that require external communication with brokers, vendors, etc.
- Reconciles transfers, fee collection, securities, and asset transfers, and performs other department operations activities
- Coordinates production and delivery of client statements and tax information
- Processes a variety of securities and cash related transactions with minimal assistance
- Uses Trust accounting system for account set up, retrieving data, and maintaining account information
2. Demonstrates ability to balance work and prioritize to meet service levels that are critical to the success of Trust Services
3. Assists in development of key internal procedures and controls
4. Evaluates administrative operations functions and makes recommendations to management, as needed, on process and system improvements to help achieve department goals
5. Interacts positively and professionally with Personal Trust clients
6. Demonstrates and models confidence, knowledge, and a willingness to take ownership of complex situations/ issues and follow them through to resolution.
7. Approaches work, interactions, and relationships in a manner consistent with the company’s Core Values
8. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of those portions of both the Old Testament and New Testament of the Bible with scriptural references to money and finances, and ability to apply and integrate this knowledge into all phases of client counsel
9. Understands the financial planning philosophy and biblical basis upon which Blue Trust serves its client base and applies these principles in personal finances
10. Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the firm's Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the firm

Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred
- A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of trust and/or securities experience, brokerage operations, or other investment related experience is required
- Requires knowledge of terminologies, regulations, and other accounting methods pertaining to the Trust and Securities industry
