As Cloud DevOps Engineer , you'll be the architect behind our client's move to Google Cloud—building the automated pipelines that stand up every environment and ship every service without a single manual step. You'll work hand-in-hand with the client's engineering teams to get the platform production-ready, then hand over polished playbooks so their internal DevOps team can run it with confidence.

What you will do:

Platform & Infrastructure

Design and build infrastructure as code in Terraform covering GKE, Cloud SQL, GCS, Pub/Sub, VPCs, and IAM

Architect a multi-tenant environment with strong data and network separation

CI/CD & Automation

Build GitLab CI/CD pipelines from scratch

Stand up ephemeral environments that deploy an app together with the backend services it depends on

Eliminate manual steps across environment provisioning and deployment

APIs & Integration

Design RESTful APIs and integrate POS APIs and event streams (Kafka / Google Pub/Sub).

Ensure reliable, well-versioned service contracts.

Kubernetes Operations

Package and deploy containerized services using Helm and Docker

Configure Kubernetes autoscaling, networking, and secrets management

Support load and performance testing at scale

Observability & Knowledge Transfer

Stand up observability, ideally with Grafana

Document the platform clearly and transfer knowledge so the client's internal team can operate it independently

Tools & Technologies:

Platforms & Infrastructure: GCP, GKE, Cloud SQL, GCS, Pub/Sub

Security & DevSecOps: IAM, Kubernetes secrets management, multi-tenant data and network separation

Cloud & IaC: Terraform, Helm, Docker, GitLab CI/CD

What you bring: Experience:

Experience: 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, with hands-on production work on GCP and GKE

Consulting / Leadership: proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines from scratch and lead documentation and knowledge transfer to an internal team

Mindset: ownership-driven, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable handing off systems you built

Nice to have: financial services or credit union experience, experience containerizing Java or Tomcat workloads, familiarity with Grafana k6

Location: LATAM and able to work US business hours
