Brussels, permanent contract, full time
Your role & work environment
We are looking for an experienced and analytically strong Senior Credit Risk Reporting Analyst who combines deep credit risk expertise with a passion for improving how reporting is delivered.
As part of the CFO domain, you will join the Consolidated Reporting Squad within CoE Reporting. The squad has a unique role within the Credit Risk Reporting team. Alongside delivering portfolio-wide credit risk reporting, the squad defines and develops the foundations that enable the Credit Risk Reporting team to report consistently, efficiently, and at scale.
Working closely with the Expert Lead, you will help define and implement the future of Credit Risk Reporting. From data architecture and reporting tooling to governance, controls, and reporting standards, you will help translate strategic ambitions into practical, reusable solutions that improve reporting quality, efficiency, and scalability across the Credit Risk Reporting team.
This role offers a unique combination of delivery, transformation, and influence. You will analyse risk, challenge data, improve reporting capabilities, and help establish the standards and frameworks that support the next steps of Credit Risk Reporting.
Your key responsibilities
Portfolio-Wide Credit Risk Reporting
Own and enhance portfolio-wide credit risk reporting across ING Belgium portfolios.
Lead key reporting deliverables, including Loan Loss Provisioning (LLP), management reporting, and risk committee reporting.
Drive regulatory reporting activities, particularly FINREP and related credit risk deliverables.
Lead complex data requests from regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders.
Reporting Foundations, Governance & Transformation
Shape the future of Credit Risk Reporting by helping define reporting standards, methodologies, and ways of working across the team.
Drive simplification, standardisation, automation, and reuse across reporting processes, data solutions, and reporting capabilities.
Establish and promote foundations for data architecture, coding standards, reporting tooling, visualisation, and reporting design.
Strengthen reporting governance through robust controls, documentation standards, EUC compliance, and data quality assurance.
Translate strategic ambitions into practical, scalable, and plug and play solutions that enable efficient delivery across the Credit Risk Reporting team.
Collaboration & Leadership
Act as a trusted expert within the Credit Risk Reporting team.
Support colleagues with methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Help create reusable solutions that can be easily adopted by other reporting analysts.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality delivery.
We look for
You are a seasoned reporting professional who combines analytical depth with ownership, pragmatism, and a drive to make things better.
You enjoy solving complex problems, creating structure where needed, and turning ideas into practical solutions. You are comfortable challenging the status quo, influencing stakeholders, and translating complexity into clear and actionable outcomes.
You bring
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Management, or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of experience in credit risk reporting, risk analytics, regulatory reporting, or a similar environment.
Strong SQL and SAS skills, complemented by experience with Power BI or similar technologies.
Sound knowledge of credit risk reporting, IFRS 9, CRR III, and related regulatory frameworks.
Experience with reporting frameworks, reporting architecture, or large scale reporting solutions.
Understanding of reporting governance, controls, documentation standards, and data quality management.
The ability to translate strategy into practical standards, tools, and ways of working.
Experience influencing teams and driving standardisation without direct managerial authority.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
We offer you
A clear purpose, a unique offer and a range of flexible compensation and other benefits:
Personal growth & challenging work with endless opportunities to realize your ambitions
An informal, dynamic environment with innovative colleagues supporting your endeavors
A progressive and agile way of working, where new ideas are valued ahead of convention
Furthermore, within the CoE Reporting department, you can count on a range of opportunities to invest in your personal and professional growth with:
the opportunity to shape the reporting capabilities of the future
the support to challenge the status quo at all times
a variety of learning possibilities
challenging projects and a steep learning curve
the possibility to evolve from one job to another easily within CoE reporting, Finance & Risk, in order to build a full knowledge of the business in a major bank.
We redefine banking. What about you?
This is more than a reporting role. You will be part of the squad responsible not only for understanding portfolio-wide credit risk, but also for shaping how Credit Risk Reporting is performed across the team. If you enjoy combining analytical depth, reporting expertise, and tangible impact, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence both what we report and how we report it.
