Job Description

At EisnerAmper, we look for individuals who welcome new ideas, encourage innovation, and are eager to make an impact. Whether you’re starting out in your career or taking your next step as a seasoned professional, the EisnerAmper experience is one-of-a-kind. You can design a career you’ll love from top to bottom – we give you the tools you need to succeed and the autonomy to reach your goals.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and manage our cloud infrastructure and release pipelines. You will work at the intersection of development and operations, building robust CI/CD workflows across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for applications spanning .NET, Angular, Python, Java, and React, as well as AI-driven workloads, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of our applications, in close partnership with adjacent engineering teams.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the full software delivery lifecycle, including database and integration automation. Candidates with prior software development experience in one or more of these languages are strongly preferred, as this background helps in designing pipelines, troubleshooting build/deployment issues, and collaborating effectively with engineering teams.

What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:

  • You will get to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industry
  • You will have the flexibility to manage your days in support of our commitment to work/life balance
  • You will join a culture that has received multiple top “Places to Work” awards
  • We believe that great work is accomplished when cultures, ideas and experiences come together to create new solutions
  • We understand that embracing our differences is what unites us as a team and strengthens our foundation
  • Showing up authentically is how we, both as professionals and a Firm, find inspiration to do our best work
  • Numerous Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) efforts

What Work You Will be Responsible For:

  • CI/CD & Release Engineering
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using both Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML) and GitHub Actions workflows.

Automate build, test, and deployment processes for .NET, Angular, Python, Java, and React applications, as well as AI/ML workloads, across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production), including database deployment automation.

Implement branching strategies, pull request gates, automated code quality checks, and release approval workflows.

Manage artifact versioning, package feeds (NuGet, npm), and release orchestration across environments.

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Automation
  • Provision and manage Azure infrastructure hands-on — App Service, AKS, Azure Functions, Virtual Networks, Storage, and Key Vault.

Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates for repeatable, version-controlled environments.

Automate integrations with tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Microsoft Fabric Pipelines.

Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes (AKS) or Azure Container Apps.

Manage secrets, configuration, and environment variables securely using Azure Key Vault and pipeline variable groups.

  • Monitoring, Reliability & Security
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

Implement DevSecOps practices — vulnerability scanning, dependency checks, code quality gateways via SonarQube, code security check gateways via Snyk, and secure pipeline configurations.

Drive incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of deployment reliability and system uptime.

Define and track key DevOps metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR).

  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner closely with development teams to streamline the developer experience and reduce build/release friction.

Mentor developers on Git workflows, pipeline authoring, and DevOps best practices.

Continuously evaluate and introduce automation, tooling, and process improvements to the release lifecycle.

Maintain clear documentation for pipelines, infrastructure, and operational runbooks.

Collaborate closely with the cloud infrastructure team and security team to align on standards and practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

4–8 years of experience in a DevOps, Build & Release, or Site Reliability Engineering role.

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts), GitHub Actions, Git branching strategies, code review workflows, and release management.

Prior software development experience — preferably in .NET (C#), Angular, Python, Java, or React — with the ability to read code, debug builds, understand application architecture, and support full-stack applications through the entire build, test, and deployment lifecycle; proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep, and with database deployment automation and integration tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Microsoft Fabric Pipelines.

Solid understanding of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes / AKS), and cloud networking fundamentals — security groups, load balancers, and identity/access management (Azure AD).

Familiarity with code quality and security gateway tools such as SonarQube and Snyk.

Experience automating build, test, and deployment pipelines for AI/ML workloads, including packaging models, managing model versioning, and integrating AI services or APIs into existing CI/CD workflows.

  • Preferred
  • Exposure to monitoring/observability stacks (Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).

Knowledge of GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.

Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104, CKA) are a strong plus.

We strongly believe in the value of diversity and creating supportive, inclusive environments where our colleagues can succeed. As such, EisnerAmper is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, or religious creed, mental or physical disability, medical condition, genetic information, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, military or protected veteran status, citizenship, or other protected characteristics under federal, state, or local law.

About our Technology Team:

Technology is enhancing the ways we operate at every level of the firm, and the EisnerAmper Technology team is the driving force for that. Unlike your average IT team, you won’t find us simply administering technology but serving as strategic advocates to deliver solutions that bring measurable, positive change for all our clients.

Because we pivot fast and always embrace new perspectives, we’re creating a culture of technology across every department based on value and a true understanding of the business. By serving as partners to leaders throughout the organization, rather than as a resource, our Technology employees are accountable to each other and themselves to create a tangible impact based on results.

The way we see it, there is always something new we can start, stop doing, or reimagine. With this mentality, we don't let perfection get in the way of innovation. If you have a theory, you’ll have the autonomy to innovate, iterate, and collaborate to see it through. Because to us, there are no bad ideas—only avenues for us to grow as a team and individuals.
