Ajax Systems, an international tech company and the largest manufacturer of security systems in Europe.
Our infrastructure is a part of the product that is invisible to the end user, but critical to the life of the entire system. The safety of our users and their property depends on our uptime. We are constantly developing our cloud solutions and this requires automating our infrastructure, testing and improving its fault tolerance. For this purpose we are looking for Senior DevOps Engineer .
The System Division develops the Ajax software ecosystem — including OS Malevich, the Video Management System, cloud infrastructure, and client applications. The team ensures the stable operation of all system components as a unified digital platform.
What you'll work with:
Cloud: AWS at the Organization level — VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, ElastiCache, Route53, Lambda, CloudFront, plus the security services (Config, GuardDuty, WAF, and friends)
Containers & orchestration: Kubernetes on AWS EKS, Helm
IaC: Terraform and Terragrunt
CI/CD: GitHub Actions (primary) and Jenkins
Languages: Golang, Node.js (TypeScript), Python, Groovy
What we're looking for:
3+ years working as a DevOps engineer
Solid command of Linux-based systems and TCP/IP networking
Hands-on Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt
Comfortable writing code in at least one of: Golang, Node.js (TypeScript), Python, Groovy
Real AWS experience across the stack above — VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS , ElastiCache, Route53, Lambda, CloudFront , and AWS security services (Config, GuardDuty, WAF, etc.)
Building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins
Hands-on operational experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and Helm
Nice to have:
Self-managed Elasticsearch stack
Message brokers: NATS, Kafka
Databases: MongoDB (Atlas), PostgreSQL, MySQL
Monitoring & alerting: Datadog, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, VictoriaLogs
What you'll actually do
You'll be a proactive part of how the platform develops:
Support and develop our AWS Organization's core infrastructure
Improve the core infrastructure security posture
Build proactive monitoring
Put together cost-optimization plans and drive them
On-duty rotation (roughly once every ~1.5 months)
Granting access to various services
Taking part in incident investigation and response
Joining investigations on NON-PROD environments
Heads-up on availability: This is a platform role, so availability matters. On rotation you'll occasionally need to help resolve the most critical production issues (on-call duties).
We offer:
The opportunity to suggest and implement your own ideas that directly influence the product and its mass production;
- A place in a fast-growing company with a motivated and professional team;
- Competitive salary;
Medical insurance;
- Corporate English classes;
- The opportunity to participate in Ajax’s internal beta-testing program for security systems;
- Discounts from partner companies;
- Discounts on Ajax products.
