Senior Director - Accounting & Compliance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director – Accounting & Compliance based in India.

• This is a senior finance leadership opportunity with responsibility for building and scaling the accounting and compliance function for an India-based entity.
• You will oversee accounting, statutory compliance, tax, treasury coordination, payroll finance support, and financial governance in a growing international environment.
• The role offers significant ownership, including transitioning finance operations from an external provider to a scalable in-house model.
• You will work closely with global finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and regulatory compliance.
• A key focus will be establishing robust processes aligned with US GAAP, Indian statutory requirements, SOX principles, and local regulations.
• You will also play an important role in an ERP implementation, supporting process design, controls, data readiness, testing, and stabilization.
• This role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader who combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, people leadership, and the ability to operate independently in a complex environment.
