SMX is seeking a Senior Director, Oracle Practice . The Oracle Practice Leader grows SMX's share of federal Oracle work as agencies move from on-premises E-Business Suite and database estates to Oracle Cloud applications and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This leader owns the Oracle offering, the Oracle talent bench and the financial results of all Oracle work across ESS.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Determines strategic vision, operational execution and key performance metrics of the Oracle portfolio line of business for market analysis, input for product development, methodology and quality of project delivery, skills and resources demand planning and deployment to projects, etc.
Responsible for hiring, development, capacity management, career and succession for the resources supporting Oracle services and projects.
Own the P&L and delivery quality for the Oracle portfolio, leading the practice directors who run those projects and setting the methodology, governance, quality assurance, and executive escalation standards that protect margin and client outcomes.
Setting metrics and managing revenue, margin, utilization, forecasting, budget and pricing approval of all projects within the Oracle line of business.
Define market positioning, offerings, pipeline in conjunction with growth and product engineering divisions.
Maintain strategic relationships with Oracle sales, account representatives and the Oracle public sector team, and with Oracle-oriented business development leads of partner organizations. Manage partnership tier, specializations, co-sell, and early visibility into agency modernization plans.
Define SMX's Oracle service offering portfolio: EBS-to-Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM migration, Oracle Federal Financials and Shared Service Provider support, OCI migration and database modernization, integration, and application managed services.
Provides leadership in ESS Business Unit cross-functional teams and stakeholder management with other business units and executive leadership staff.
Position SMX on federal financial and HR modernization opportunities where Oracle is the selected or likely platform, as prime or strategic sub, in both shared service provider and agency-direct work, with a clear teaming strategy against large integrators.
Coordinate with Solutions & Innovations to build and package repeatable accelerators: EBS upgrade and cloud-readiness assessments, data migration tooling, quarterly-update regression testing, and security/ATO packages for OCI government regions.
Focus employee development in the scarcest skills: Oracle Cloud Financials, Procurement and HCM, OCI architecture, database and integration (OIC), with a path to cleared staff.
Required Skills & Experience:
15+ years of Oracle applications or technology experience, including 7+ years leading Oracle programs or a practice of 50+ people.
