We are looking for an experienced, strategically-minded Engineering leader who is excited about helping a startup navigate early growth stages and build for scale. An important member of our R&D leadership cohort, this role will directly manage our Applications Team – a mission-critical group of fullstack, frontend, and iOS engineers, who build and maintain our customer-facing web and mobile applications for our growing user base.

An ideal candidate would have team management maturity, passion and deep expertise in designing scalable applications, and would be a key thought partner for other leaders of the company. We are currently hiring remote candidates based in Europe and Latin America.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of the company’s web and mobile customer-facing products, helping thousands of construction pros save time and grow their businesses.

Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, and the rest of Engineering leadership to align technical execution with business priorities.

Drive app usability and stability across web and mobile platforms, using industry best practices and innovation.

Contribute to strategic-level technical decision-making.

Lead and grow the team through hiring, coaching, mentorship, and career development.

Drive team execution by leading sprint planning, retrospectives, standups, demos, and other ceremonies.

Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, outcomes, and delivering value to our customers.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring engineers in a fast-paced environment, with focus on execution and delivery.

Strong leadership skills with high agency, customer focus, problem-solving ability, and an outcome-driven mindset.

Expertise in both back-end and front-end tech stacks, including Python, JavaScript, Django (DRF), HTML, CSS, React, and PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS.

Enthusiasm about modern agentic AI tooling and concepts like context engineering. Active usage of Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, with constant exploration and search for further efficiency gains.

Comfortable operating in Agile development environments and collaborating across multiple time zones and cultures.

Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
