NBS is looking for a Senior Executive to support the Undergraduate Programmes Office (UPO) in the critical function of curriculum planning and operations.

This role is involved in academic planning, coordination and administering of various academic programmes, to enable a meaningful and impactful student experience for all our undergraduates in the following areas:

Semester Timetabling

  • Coordinate with academic divisions on semester timetabling arrangements, teaching allocations, and resource planning.
  • Support the appointment and maintenance of course coordinator and teaching instructor records.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate the timely implementation of teaching schedules.

Course Registration and Curriculum Planning

  • Provide course planning and curriculum advice to students.
  • Process course registration requests and maintain related records and documentation.
  • Manage and update academic information on the NBS Intranet, including course outlines, course catalogues, programme structures, and curriculum requirements.
  • Support curriculum planning exercises and the implementation of curriculum changes.

Special / Joint Programmes

  • Administer Double Degree, Second Major and Minor programmes.
  • Coordinate with partner schools on vacancy reservations, admissions, and course registration matters.
  • Ensure programme information and curriculum structures are accurately maintained on the website and intranet.
  • Provide academic advisory to students on programme requirements, curriculum planning, and academic progression.
  • Monitor students’ academic progress and support programme completion requirements.

Change of Programme and Business Streaming

  • Coordinate and administer Change of Programme and Business Streaming exercises.
  • Advise students on eligibility requirements, application procedures, curriculum implications, and academic pathways.
  • Process applications and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Liaise with academic divisions and stakeholders on change of programme and major allocation matters.
  • Communicate application outcomes and support students in their academic transition.

Others

Supporting MOOC administration, including credit transfer processing, and resolving student enquiries in a timely manner.

  • Support the review and implementation of academic policies, procedures, and initiatives within the Academic Programmes portfolio.
  • Manage and update academic information, guidelines, forms, and resources on relevant communication platforms.
  • Assist in shared administrative duties to facilitate office operations, including the management of undergraduate email enquiries.
  • Maintain proper documentation, records management, and archival of information.
  • Support projects, exercises, and events such as Open House and Convocation.
  • Review and improve work processes and maintain SOPs relating to areas of responsibility.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma holder.
  • Related qualifications and/or working experiences in the higher education sector will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and MS Teams.
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Able to exercise discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proactive and tactful team player with the ability to interact well with people from all levels.
  • Possesses good critical thinking and communication skills, and a positive learning attitude.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, meticulous, and adaptive.
