WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

The North America Brand Creative Retail team leads Nike’s retail innovation across the largest geography. We fuse strategy and creativity to shape physical retail experiences that connect athletes* to the future of sport. This role partners closely with NA Retail Accounts Marketing, Retail Brand, Nike Direct Seasonal / Seasonless Retail, and external agencies to deliver unified, premium marketplace executions.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is searching for a visionary design leader to elevate Partners Seasonless Retail across North America. You think consumer-first, pushing the boundaries of immersive retail while staying grounded in retail realities. You bring deep experience across environmental design disciplines—from materials and fixture systems to spatial design and graphic and digital integration—and can translate complex creative thinking into clear, actionable direction for both internal partners and external agencies.

You stay ahead of cultural, design, and consumer trends, applying that insight to create consistent, scalable retail design across Partners executions. You thrive in ambiguity, navigate multiple projects simultaneously, and know how to influence outcomes at every stage of the creative process. Most importantly, you bring a bold point of view, a collaborative spirit, and an entrepreneurial drive to lead the marketplace into a new era of design excellence.

A senior retail design leader with expertise across wholesale partners, franchise, licensed stores, department stores, concession environments, and shop-in-shop concepts. Able to lead concept design, design development, FF&E, fixture systems, environmental graphics and brand governance.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of retail design, architecture, interior design, or experiential design leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, spatial design, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Awareness of trends in color, art, architecture and experience design, graphic design — and their application to the sport industry.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects of varying scale, budgets, and timelines.
  • Expertise in fixture and production design, materiality, fabrication, and emerging manufacturing trends.
  • Deep experience with partner doors, franchise, license, department store and concession retail environments.
  • Expertise in concept design, design development, FF&E, fixtures, materials and environmental graphics.
  • Proven ability to create and govern retail design standards and implementation guidelines.
  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple complex retail design initiatives in ambiguous and fast-moving environments, balancing multiple stakeholder needs, shifting priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining exceptional creative and executional standards.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You’ll oversee the design of Partners Seasonless Retail, leading NA partner door retail design through a seasonless 365 lens while ensuring Nike’s brand standards and elevates the retail experience across the marketplace. You’ll shape design direction, guide agencies, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver best‑in‑class storytelling across North America.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with the Design Director to define seasonless and long‑term Partners marketplace design strategy.
  • Review designs across each creative stage, providing clear direction on concept, materiality, scale, FF&E, branding, story design, and environmental integration to align with the Nike Retail Design standard.
  • Collaborate with Nike Direct Seasonless Retail to align and unify design across Nike Direct and Partners executions.
  • Build compelling presentations that communicate creative strategy to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Work closely with Accounts Marketing, Retail Brand, Visual Merchandising, Brand Creative, Operations, and external agencies.
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities to maximize design impact while staying within budget.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Nike’s brand standards, design ethos, and operational practices for Partners Retail.
  • Explore new modes of storytelling through lighting, sculpture, motion, environmental graphics, and emerging technologies.
  • Inspire and educate the broader team by sharing cultural and design trends shaping future retail experiences.
  • Develop and maintain Partner Door Retail Design Guidelines for franchise, licensed, department store, concession and wholesale environments.
  • Create scalable design frameworks, toolkits and playbooks for architecture, fixtures, graphics, materiality and digital integration.
  • Travel 5–10% as needed to support high-priority marketplace installs.

We offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed. If you discover, as you navigate our application process, that you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please complete the Candidate Accommodation Request Form .
