FP&A Analyst – Technology Change

Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

Role Purpose

This role focuses on strategic investment, transformation programmes, and technology financial insight . The analyst will support decision-making on change spend, business cases, and cost optimisation , with exposure to cloud, digital, and transformation initiatives .

Key Responsibilities

Transformation & Investment Analysis

• •Analyse and report change spend vs strategic plans
• •Support technology investment decisions through financial modelling and insight
• •Track project financials (budget vs actual vs forecast)
• •Support capitalisation, amortisation and benefits tracking
• •Provide analysis on ROI, payback and value delivery of initiatives

Business Partnering (Strategic Focus)

• •Support Finance Business Partners with insight and reporting
• •Provide clear explanations of cost performance to non-finance stakeholders
• •Build relationships with Technology and Transformation Office
• •Support cost discussions, highlighting risks and efficiencies
• •Support business cases, investment governance, and prioritisation decisions
• •Contribute to governance forums and performance tracking of programmes

Data, Tools & Innovation

• •Build and enhance cost models for tracking implementation costs and benefits
• •Work with stakeholders to ensure accuracy of project spend (including journals)
• •Improve cost attribution (e.g., cloud tagging, shared services allocation)
• •Work with Technology teams to improve data granularity
• •Explore automation and AI tools to enhance insight and reduce manual effort

Candidate Profile

Essential

• •Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• •Experience in FP&A, commercial finance or investment analysis
• •Experience with business cases, ROI and benefits tracking
• •Strong analytical and storytelling skills
• •Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability

Desirable

• •Experience in technology transformation or digital programmes
• •Exposure to cloud platforms or FinOps concepts
• •Power BI / data visualisation experience
• •Interest in automation, AI or advanced analytics
