OUR COMPANY

  • At Boehringer Ingelheim we develop breakthrough therapies and innovative healthcare solutions in areas of unmet medical need for both humans and animals. As a family owned company, we focus on long-term performance. We believe that, if we have talented and ambitious people who are passionate about innovation, there is no limit to what we can achieve; after all, we started with just 28 people. Now, we are powered by 50,000 employees globally who nurture a diverse, collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • The Position
  • At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are committed to delivering breakthrough therapies that have an unprecedented impact for people facing cancer, today and for generations to come. This high-impact global role contributes to our early oncology pipeline, where payer confidence, evidence quality, development and launch sequencing, and pricing strategy can shape how quickly innovation reaches patients. As (Senior) Global Pricing and Access Manager, you will help define the access ambition for early pipeline products and translate science, payer expectations, competitive dynamics and country realities into clear strategic choices. You will work closely with Global Access, HEOR, Medical, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Forecasting, Finance, and regional and local teams to ensure payer needs are embedded in evidence generation, value communication, pricing decisions, and launch planning from the beginning.
  • Tasks & responsibilities
  • In this role, you will drive the development and execution of global pricing and access strategies for early immuno-oncology assets across current and future indications, ensuring payer considerations are integrated into asset and indication planning.
  • With a focus on value creation, you will develop and refine payer value propositions by translating clinical, economic and market evidence into compelling value narratives.
  • As part of a cross-functional environment, you will lead payer-relevant evidence planning in partnership with HEOR, Medical and Clinical colleagues, identifying evidence needs, risks and opportunities.
  • By providing strategic guidance, you will develop global pricing recommendations that support launch planning, lifecycle management, indication expansion and long-term value optimization.
  • When evaluating market dynamics, you will lead the generation and interpretation of payer, HTA, reimbursement and competitive insights, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Within your area of responsibility, you will drive access launch readiness across regions and markets, ensuring global strategies and value communications are effectively translated into local implementation.
  • Through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure payer and access perspectives are reflected in development, evidence and commercialization planning.
  • Requirements
  • Graduate degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, Health Economics, Pharmacy, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Long term experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Oncology with a strong background in Immuno-oncology market access, pricing, reimbursement or payer authority roles
  • Demonstrated experience supporting global pricing and access strategy development for Immuno-oncology assets, ideally during pre-launch or launch-phase planning.
  • Deep understanding of global healthcare systems across major markets and the ability to adapt strategies to market-specific requirements.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex cross-functional market access initiatives and translate ambiguity into clear recommendations and actionable plans.
  • Fluent English communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • As part of our commitment to transparency and fairness, salary information will be shared during the recruitment process. We also offer a comprehensive benefits and wellbeing package.
  • Applications from persons with severe disabilities are warmly welcomed. In cases of equal qualifications, such applicants will be given preferential consideration in the selection process.
  • With us, you can develop your own path in a company with a culture that knows our differences are our strengths - and break new ground in the drive to make millions of lives better.

Here, your development is our priority. Supporting you to build a career as part of a workplace that is independent, authentic and bold, while tackling challenging work in a respectful and friendly environment where everyone is valued and welcomed.

Alongside, you have access to programs and groups that ensure your health and wellbeing are looked after - as we make major investments to drive global accessibility to healthcare. By being part of a team that is constantly innovating, you'll be helping to transform lives for generations.
