Senior Growth Manager

Overview

Sedaro is hiring a Senior BD Manager to own the full BD lifecycle and accelerate our expansion with the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, Joint Staff, Intelligence Community (IC), key prime contractors, and commercial defense companies.

Team : Growth, reporting to the Director of Growth

Location : Arlington, VA

Clearance : U.S. citizenship required ; eligibility for TS/SCI clearance

Who You Are

10+ years of business-development, capture, or sales leadership in Aerospace & Defense

Deep network across the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, Joint Staff, Intelligence Community , and PEOs /PAEs across the DoW

Proven track record winning and closing ≥ $ 25 M government or prime-contract opportunities

Strategic thinker who can translate customer pain points into compelling technical solutions

Comfortable in a small but growing, dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Superb communicator able to brief senior military/civilian leaders , and C-suite executives

What You’ll Do

Grow and qualify pipeline across DA F major commands, IC (NRO, NGA, NSA, etc.), Joint Staff (OSW/SCO, DIA, NMCC, etc.) , and commercial- defens e primes, expanding into adjacent IC and civil-space accounts.

Shape RFIs/RFPs early, leveraging stakeholder relationships to influence program language and funding profiles.

Lead end-to-end capture: competitive intel, win strategy, teaming, pricing, and proposal reviews for pursuits > $ 15-25 M.

Represent Sedaro at industry events, conferences, and networking events

Partner with Pro grams & Engineering to translate market trends into roadmap features and prioritize opportunities through multiple contract vehicles (Phase III, STRATFI, IDIQ, OTA, etc ) .

Forecast, track, and report BD metrics; manage relevant budgets and drive continual process improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (STEM or Business); MBA or M.S. a plus

10+ years BD / capture experience in DoD or aerospace software systems

5+ years supporting DAF, JS, or IC customers (active duty, reserve, civilian, or industry liaison roles

Demonstrated success performing on or leading captures ≥ $ 15 M for defense-software and space-system programs

• Top Secret / SCI clearance

Willing to travel 25% ( primarily domestic)

Additional desirable experience:

Prior military service or congressional staff experience on HASC/SASC or HAC/DAC space portfolios

Experience influencing Congressional plus-ups or new-start appropriation

Familiarity with digital-engineering standards (MBSE, modeling & simulation , specific AFSIM or similar use-case experience ) and Agile software delivery

Established relationships in the A&D industry
