Job Summary

  • The Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic provides senior level mechanical experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of stationary plant equipment, vehicle, heavy automotive equipment, and facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

High school diploma /GED or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) years of experience in performing preventative maintenance on various mechanical, electrical, HVAC, or heavy plant equipment.

LICENSES :

Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Must have a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License.

Applicants with a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), issued by a state other than Texas, must obtain a Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within probationary period.

Texas Vehicle Inspectors License

EPA Section 609 (recovery of automotive refrigerants)

Air Brakes Coursework or ASE exam T-4

Truck Steering and Suspension Coursework or ASE exam T-5

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must supply own set of mechanic's hand tools.

Availability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary Range

$27.45 - $32.58

The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
