Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Houston, Texas

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT application projects, ensuring completion within scope, budget, and timeline commitments.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to analyze requirements, define project objectives, and establish detailed project plans.
  • Coordinate and guide cross-functional project teams, assigning responsibilities and ensuring alignment on milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues while proactively managing changes, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and provide clear project status updates, recommendations, and communications to stakeholders.
  • Support organizational change management efforts by assessing business impacts, driving user adoption, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards, project management methodologies, and GxP validation requirements within a regulated environment.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in combination with other IT roles within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex IT projects, preferably involving enterprise applications such as SAP, MES, cloud solutions, or systems integrations.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects using waterfall, agile, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, risk management, stakeholder management, and change management practices.
  • Knowledge of GxP-relevant computerized systems and validation processes is highly desirable.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent project management certification) and Agile Crum Master Certification.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams in a global, matrixed environment.
