What You Will Do

In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end RTR activities within the GFSS scope, ensuring robust financial oversight, transparent reporting, and strong internal controls. You will act as trusted finance partner to local teams, Group functions, and auditors, while contributing to transformation and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

As Senior Lead Accountant, you will apply strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and analytical thinking to resolve complex accounting matters, support audit processes, and ensure timely and high-quality financial deliverables.

In detail, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and challenging Balance Sheet and P&L analyses, identifying trends, risks, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timely delivery of Group reporting submissions, management reporting, and financial commentary
  • Driving consistency and standardization of accounting practices across markets.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to all GFSS accounting teams
  • Supporting capability development through knowledge sharing, training, and mentoring initiatives
  • Represent the GFSS Lead Accountants in various forums and governances

Stakeholder Management, Governance & Audit

  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across Group Finance, Financial Controlling, Tax, Treasury, local finance teams, and external service providers and partners.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor on accounting, reporting, and compliance matters.
  • Leading interactions with internal and external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit observations.
  • Coordinating statutory and group audits across multiple entities.
  • Serving as the escalation point for complex accounting, reporting, or compliance issues
  • Supporting preparation of accounting assessments, financial risks, and recommendations to senior management and finance leadership.

Controls, Compliance, Tax & Continuous Improvement

  • Developing an internal controls compliance mindset, and ensuring GFSS RTR controls are designed, documented and executed effectively
  • Supporting tax accounting activities accuracy and timely submission including VAT/GST, local taxes, deferred taxes, provisions, reconciliations, and postings (as per SLA)
  • Translating Group Accounting and Financial Controlling policies into GFSS and Business partner execution
  • Driving improvements to methodologies, tools, and processes at team and department level
  • Actively identifying efficiency, automation, and quality improvement opportunities across GFSS
  • Identifying control gaps, assessing financial risks, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Driving compliance with ECS, internal controls, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Supporting risk assessments and control testing activities.
  • Monitoring compliance through KPIs, audits, and continuous review activities

Qualifications And Competencies
