Senior Legal Counsel L&C Supervision

Are you passionate about navigating regulatory change and shaping a proactive compliance environment? Join our Supervision & Controls team in Zurich and play a key role in helping Vontobel anticipate, assess and respond to evolving regulatory requirements across the Group.

In this highly visible role, you will work closely with senior management, regulatory authorities and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring that regulatory developments are translated into effective action and robust governance.

What would your role be?

• •Further develop and implement the group-wide regulatory foresight framework and implement cross-functional review and senior management reporting for regulatory changes affecting Vontobel group.
• •Ensure and support the timely fulfillment of internal and external audit / FINMA findings and issues.
• •Assess regulatory requirements within the domain of Supervision & Controls
• •Support the General Counsel and the Head Supervision regarding the material and formal preparation of VAV and KORECO meetings and related tasks.
• •Coordinate ad hoc regulatory inquiries and required inputs from stakeholders across the Vontobel Group and support and advise in their regulatory interactions.

What are we looking for?

• •Experienced compliance or regulatory professional within banking or financial services.
• •Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and supervisory expectations.
• •Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and verbal.
• •Proven ability to manage complex projects and engage senior stakeholders.
• •Collaborative mindset with experience coaching and guiding colleagues.
• •Affinity for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools and ways of working.

Location Requirement

This role is based in Zurich but will move to Baar in 2030, ensuring close alignment with key stakeholders in the business.
