Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:
- Weld smaller components (e.g. base plates, stiffener plates, cap plates, fillet welds, railings)
- Grinding and cleaning welds
- Replace wire in welding machines
- Out of position welding (horizontal and vertical)
- Weld larger assemblies
- Read WPS and set machine accordingly
- Weld larger frames, including CJP welds
- Read prints and understand what welds are required per shop drawings
- Follow all Safety Rules
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be proficient in use of carbon arc
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in welding
- Must be certified unlimited in GMAW, FCAW or FCAW-G, and SMAW.
- Must be certified to weld rebar
- Must be certified to operate the overhead and/or jib crane and/or forklift
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Availability to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand, twist, reach, and move around for long periods of time
- Must know how to operate a grinder

2nd shift position: Monday - Friday, 1:30pm - 10:30pm
