What you will do

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Insights, Patient & Access Analytics to serve as the strategic analytics lead for Patient & Access Analytics across the UPLIZNA multi-indication portfolio . This role will lead the development and execution of an integrated Patient & Access Analytics strategy across patient journey, patient services, reimbursement, and payer access dynamics to inform both Patient Access and broader brand strategy.

The complexity of the UPLIZNA portfolio requires this individual to operate across a broad and highly matrixed stakeholder network spanning Patient Services, Brand, Market Access, Sales, Forecasting, Brand Analytics, Data Science, Data Strategy, and other commercial partners . The Senior Manager will have accountability for setting and prioritizing the Patient & Access Analytics agenda across indications and functions , aligning stakeholders around the highest-priority business questions, and ensuring analytical resources are prioritized against the areas of greatest strategic importance.

This individual will move beyond reporting patient access performance to serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership , proactively identifying emerging access barriers, patient journey opportunities, and business risks; determining the analytical approaches required to understand them; and translating findings into recommendations that inform Patient Access and broader brand decisions.

The role requires strong strategic thinking, analytical judgment, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to influence and drive alignment across multiple senior stakeholders and competing priorities without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities

Patient & Access Analytics Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own the Patient & Access Analytics strategy and priorities across the UPLIZNA multi-indication portfolio, balancing competing business needs and ensuring analytical resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary Patient & Access Analytics partner to UPLIZNA leadership, translating brand and Patient Access priorities into analytical strategies, measurement frameworks, and actionable recommendations.
  • Establish an integrated view of the patient journey across enrollment, access, initiation, adherence, and persistence, while accounting for indication-specific differences in patient and access dynamics.
  • Integrate insights across hub, specialty pharmacy, claims, payer, reimbursement, and other relevant data sources to identify access barriers, performance drivers, emerging risks, and opportunities.
  • Continuously advance Patient & Access Analytics capabilities through new data sources, methodologies, automation, and scalable approaches to measurement.

Strategic Insights & Cross-Functional Decision Support

  • Define and lead analytical approaches to address complex and ambiguous patient access, reimbursement, patient journey, and business performance questions, moving beyond descriptive reporting to identify drivers, implications, and opportunities for action.
  • Lead cross-functional analytical initiatives across Patient Services, Market Access, Brand, Sales, Forecasting, Brand Analytics, Data Science, Data Strategy, and other partners, driving alignment on priorities, KPIs, methodologies, and interpretation of results.
  • Integrate Patient & Access insights with broader brand, customer, field, and business performance perspectives to inform brand strategy, planning, forecasting, and leadership decisions.
  • Translate complex findings into clear, executive-ready narratives and recommendations, serving as an objective thought partner to senior leadership and influencing decisions across a matrixed organization.
  • Identify and address trade-offs across competing stakeholder needs and provide strategic direction to internal and external analytical resources.

Performance Measurement & Analytics Enablement

  • Define and evolve KPIs and measurement frameworks across the patient access journey and establish leading and lagging indicators to monitor performance and identify emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Provide strategic oversight of dashboards, recurring reporting, and analytical deliverables, ensuring outputs remain focused on actionable business insights and evolving leadership needs.
  • Partner with Data Strategy and Data Science to improve data quality, address data gaps, and evaluate new data sources and analytical approaches.
  • Ensure analytical methodologies appropriately reflect the strengths and limitations of available data and maintain high standards for quality, governance, and consistency.
  • Build scalable frameworks and best practices that improve the efficiency, consistency, and impact of Patient & Access Analytics across the UPLIZNA portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience: OR
  • Master’s degree and 4 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience: OR
  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience; OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics, sales and/or marketing operations experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading patient, market access, commercial, or related analytics within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical patient journey, including patient services, reimbursement, payer access, treatment initiation, adherence, and persistence.
  • Experience supporting multiple indications, brands, or complex stakeholder environments and balancing competing analytical priorities.
  • Experience working with patient-level and healthcare datasets including hub, specialty pharmacy, claims, payer, EMR, and other longitudinal patient data.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex and ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
