The Company

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Summary:

You don't just report on performance — you decide what happens next. At PayPal, you'll own the intelligence layer of one of fintech's most ambitious marketing modernization efforts: how we understand hundreds of millions of customers, decide what to put in front of them in real time, and prove what actually drives growth. You'll turn customer data, audiences, and signals into offer decisioning, experimentation, and measurement that senior leadership uses to steer investment. This is a high-visibility seat — your scorecards and insights will be presented to the CMO and executive leadership, and your frameworks will define how PayPal measures lifecycle marketing for years to come. If you want to build the measurement backbone of a global brand — this is your moment.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex marketing projects and initiatives to drive business growth
  • Resolve complex marketing problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Determine methods and procedures for new marketing assignments
  • Implement global process improvements to enhance marketing effectiveness
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing strategies with business goals
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise in marketing best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications :

About the Team:

You'll join the Lifecycle Transformation team, which carries a CMO-level mandate to modernize how PayPal plans, builds, and measures lifecycle marketing. You'll lead the "Understand · Decide · Measure" side of the Lifecycle Marketing Platform (LCMP) transformation, working across the Transformation Office, Data Supply Chain, MarTech, Analytics, and partners including Adobe and Publicis Sapient.

Additional Responsibilities :

Lead the data, decisioning, and measurement workstream of the LCMP transformation, from business requirements and architecture decisions through production adoption.

Define the customer data, audience, and signal strategy for lifecycle marketing across Data Supply Chain, MarTech, and Analytics, ensuring data is accurate, consented, and decision-ready.

Own offer decisioning and next-best-action strategy, translating business rules, eligibility, and propensity models into real-time decisions across email, push, and in-app channels.

Build and run an enterprise experimentation program, including test design standards, holdout strategy, and a cadence that turns results into roadmap and budget decisions.

Establish the marketing ROI (mROI) and measurement framework, including incrementality, attribution, and baselines that underpin value realization for the program.

Own the capability-gap scorecard and benefits tracking, reporting transformation value against baseline to the CMO, Head of Lifecycle Transformation, and executive stakeholders.

Ensure audiences and decisions activate cleanly in live journeys, with measurement built into every launch.

Bring performance insight into annual planning and budget prioritization, identifying where investment should shift to maximize growth.

Champion enterprise data governance principles, including data quality, consent management, and identity resolution, as foundations of effective lifecycle marketing.

Prepare executive narratives that translate technical data and decisioning choices into business outcomes and financial impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data strategy, decisioning, or marketing technology, with at least 3 years in a leadership or people management capacity.

Deep hands-on experience with customer data platforms (Adobe RT-CDP / AEP, Segment, mParticle) and enterprise-scale audience and segmentation strategy.

Experience designing and operating offer decisioning or next-best-action capabilities (e.g., Adobe Journey Optimizer Decisioning, Pega, Salesforce Einstein, or similar).

Proven leadership of experimentation programs, including A/B and multivariate testing, holdout design, incrementality, and statistical rigor.

Strong measurement expertise across marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, incrementality testing, and mROI frameworks.

Working knowledge of enterprise data governance, consent management, identity resolution, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Fluency with SQL and modern data and BI tools (e.g., BigQuery, Tableau, Looker), with the ability to go deep with analysts, data scientists, and engineers.

Experience applying AI/ML to personalization, propensity modeling, and real-time decisioning at scale.

Track record of turning data into measurable business impact, such as conversion lift, efficiency gains, or budget reallocation to higher-return programs.

Proven ability to build compelling executive narratives and present to SVP/C-suite audiences, translating analytics and architecture into business outcomes.

Comfortable operating in matrixed organizations where influence without direct authority is essential.

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative or related field preferred.

Experience in financial services, fintech, or payments is a strong plus.

Background working with agile delivery methodologies and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for program management is expected.
