TITLE: Senior Manager, Product Management – Data Orchestration

Work Location: Bay Area, CA and requires to be in the office 2 to 3 times a week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Senior Manager, Product Management – Data Orchestration drives product planning and execution for capabilities that move, coordinate, transform, monitor, and deliver data across Duck Creek products, customer ecosystems, analytics platforms, AI services, and downstream operational workflows. This role translates complex data movement, integration, and platform needs into prioritized product capabilities that improve reliability, reuse, observability, and customer value. The role partners across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, AI, Security, Customer Success, Professional Services, and customer stakeholders to define scalable orchestration patterns and reduce one-off implementation effort. This role applies significant product judgment within an approved product strategy and is accountable for measurable outcomes related to adoption, reliability, onboarding efficiency, and data trust.

• •Drive product planning and roadmap execution for Duck Creek’s data orchestration capabilities, including data ingestion, transformation, routing, synchronization, scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and delivery.
• •Develop and maintain product requirements for how customers and internal product teams orchestrate data across policy, billing, claims, distribution, customer, document, analytics, AI, and third-party ecosystems.
• •Translate complex data movement, platform architecture, and insurance workflow needs into clear product priorities, requirements, trade-off decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• •Partner with Engineering and Architecture to define scalable orchestration patterns across batch, near-real-time, event-driven, streaming, API-based, and workflow-triggered data flows.
• •Develop product requirements for reusable data pipelines, configurable data flows, source-to-target mappings, transformation templates, validation, dependency management, retries, replay, exception handling, reconciliation, and operational monitoring.
• •Define requirements for data contracts, schema versioning, event payloads, API payloads, backward compatibility, lifecycle management, metadata, lineage, and consumer notification patterns.
• •Recommend and prioritize orchestration capabilities that support insurance workflows, including policy-to-analytics synchronization, claims event publishing, billing and payment feeds, party synchronization, producer and distribution data flows, document metadata movement, regulatory reporting feeds, and AI-ready data delivery.
• •Partner with AI, analytics, and semantic data product teams to support data consumption patterns for LLM grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, feature pipelines, operational dashboards, reporting marts, knowledge graphs, vector indexes, and intelligent workflow automation.
• •Evaluate adoption, reliability, and business impact of data orchestration capabilities using measures such as pipeline success rates, data latency, time to onboard new data flows, reduction in custom implementation effort, reuse across product domains, and downstream data trust.
• •Collaborate with Security, Architecture, and Data teams to ensure orchestration capabilities support appropriate governance, access, observability, operational controls, and data quality expectations.
• •Engage customer-facing teams and customer stakeholders to understand implementation patterns, operational pain points, and opportunities to improve productized data orchestration capabilities.
• •Develop product documentation, requirements, decision materials, and stakeholder communications that support alignment across product, technical, and customer-facing teams.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

REQUIRED:

• •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, Business, Insurance, Analytics, or a related discipline.
• •6+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, platform product management, data product management, enterprise software, SaaS, PaaS, or related roles.
• •Experience leading complex product initiatives or capability areas that require alignment across product teams, engineering teams, architects, data teams, customer-facing teams, and business stakeholders.
• •Experience working with data platforms, data pipelines, integration platforms, workflow orchestration, data movement, APIs, event-driven architecture, ETL/ELT, data contracts, metadata, lineage, observability, or enterprise integration patterns.
• •Experience translating ambiguous business and technical problems into structured product priorities, requirements, and measurable outcomes.

PREFERRED

• •Master’s degree or equivalent advanced experience in a relevant discipline.
• •Experience in P&C insurance, general insurance, InsurTech, financial services, or another complex regulated industry.
• •Experience with platform, data, analytics, AI enablement, or integration products in a multi-product SaaS environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:

• •Knowledge of data orchestration concepts, including ingestion, transformation, routing, scheduling, synchronization, event publishing, monitoring, exception handling, lineage, and reconciliation.
• •Knowledge of modern data movement patterns, including batch processing, APIs, webhooks, pub/sub, message queues, event streaming, change data capture, ETL/ELT, and workflow orchestration.
• •Knowledge of cloud-native platforms, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, data platform services, integration frameworks, and enterprise security patterns.
• •Knowledge of data contracts, schema management, versioning, metadata, lineage, service-level expectations, data quality rules, and consumer-driven data requirements.
• •Knowledge of P&C insurance processes across one or more domains such as policy, billing, claims, distribution, underwriting, reporting, or customer servicing.
• •Knowledge of AI, analytics, and automation consumption patterns, including data pipelines for grounding, retrieval, feature generation, operational reporting, decision support, and intelligent
