Description

This position is responsible for repair and maintenance of all golf course equipment in a proper and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain the maintenance facility, inside and out, in a clean and safe condition for an efficient and safe work environment for mechanics and all staff so as to meet OSHA, DHEC, and Town of Hilton Head Fire Department
  • Order parts and materials needed to repair equipment in accordance with financial procedures dictated by the Manager, Equipment Maintenance.
  • Schedule work load in a priority manner of importance. Priority will be decided with Golf Course Superintendent, along with the Manager of Equipment Maintenance.
  • Record and document all work performed on equipment in an orderly arrangement so as to be able to file in a filing system.
  • Be responsible for inventory of parts, tools and materials used within the golf maintenance shop facility.
  • Maintain gas and fuel tanks.
  • Ensure that equipment maintenance is provided on weekends and holidays.
  • Ensure that all safety devices are in place and in operation.
  • Responsible for small engine repair: flymo and weedeaters.
  • Ensure that all reels are sharpened and properly maintained as directed by the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Work whatever hours are necessary to properly maintain equipment for every-day tasks.
