We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Senior Medical Writer with extensive experience contributing to nonclinical, clinical, and regulatory affairs teams in a dynamic industry setting. You will be responsible for delivering high-impact regulatory documents that advance our programs and support our mission to bring new therapies to patients. If you are a writer who takes pride in turning complex science into clear, submission-ready documents, we’d love to hear from you.

How you might spend your days

Proactively preparing clinical and regulatory documents to support AbCellera’s clinical development programs, including Module 2 to 5 documents, briefing books, safety updates, and responses to regulatory agencies

Organizing and conducting document review meetings, and partnering with project teams on authoring and content strategy

Collaborating with team members to align on deliverables, writing processes, and timelines

Staying current on US and international regulations and medical writing practices

Leading the adoption of AI-assisted writing tools to accelerate document preparation

Building therapeutic area and product expertise and applying it across development programs

We’d love to hear from you if

You have 8+ years of medical writing experience in pharma or biotech and a relevant post secondary degree; experience preparing dossiers for biologic therapies is an asset

You excel at clearly communicating complex scientific and medical concepts to diverse audiences, supported by your deep command of domain terminology and strong oral and written communication skills

You can seamlessly oversee multiple projects simultaneously and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to do so; organization, time management, and problem-solving are strengths of yours

You have extensive experience writing and editing clinical and regulatory documents following guidelines and regulations, such as ICH guidelines, GCP, and other regulatory requirements

You have an advanced understanding of drug development, clinical research, study designs, biostatistics, pharmacology, regulatory requirements, and medical terminology

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $118,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, an annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.

You will have a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits. Scientific and technical mentorship are a priority. And you’ll find a strong sense of community and connections across AbCellera through our work, clubs, and socials.

About AbCellera

Creating medicines is the most important work we can do.

We are a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing antibody-based medicines in the areas of endocrinology, women’s health, immunology, and oncology. We have built a platform for advancing antibody drug programs from target to clinic, and we are using it to build our internal pipeline.

Today, our pipeline includes two drug candidates in clinical development, two preclinical development candidates (DCs) in Investigational New Drug (IND)-enabling activities, and more than 20 active discovery programs across multiple modalities and indications.

We believe that when tenacious people share a vision and work together, they can truly have a positive impact. That’s why we hire for character and intelligence, not just for CVs or experience.

We look for people with drive and energy. People we trust. People who need to know their days are being well spent. That their work really matters. In the end, our success will be measured by the impact of our medicines.

To apply

Please submit your application through our website and refer to Job ID 23422 in your cover letter.
