Senior MERN Cloud Full Stack Developer - Openshift

You will contribute to the design and development of modern cloud-native applications, combining full-stack engineering expertise with hands-on experience in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes-based environments. As a Full-Stack Developer specializing in Red Hat OpenShift, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications running in containerized OpenShift environments. You will work across front-end and back-end technologies, leveraging OpenShift capabilities to build resilient, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions. Full-Stack Development: Design and develop Node.js microservices using TypeScript and build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React best practices. OpenShift Application Deployment: Develop, containerize, deploy, and manage applications on Red Hat OpenShift, leveraging Kubernetes-based orchestration and OpenShift-native capabilities. Containerization: Build and maintain Docker/OCI-compatible container images, Dockerfiles or Containerfiles, and deployment configurations to support consistent application delivery across environments. OpenShift Configuration & Management: Configure and manage application deployments, pods, services, routes, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and environment-specific configurations within OpenShift clusters. CI/CD & DevOps: Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, image management, deployments, and releases to OpenShift environments. Cloud-Native Architecture: Develop scalable, resilient, and maintainable microservices aligned with cloud-native architecture principles and enterprise standards. API Development & Integration: Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs, using Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation. Experience with GraphQL and Apollo is an advantage. Application Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot application and deployment issues, analyze logs, monitor application health, and resolve performance and availability problems in OpenShift environments. Security & Best Practices: Apply secure coding practices and OpenShift security principles, including appropriate access controls, Secrets management, and secure container configurations. Testing & Code Quality: Develop automated tests, debug applications, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality practices. Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, business analysts, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality enterprise applications in an Agile environment. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve application performance, deployment automation, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency. 7+ years of professional software development experience, including full-stack application development and exposure to cloud or containerized environments. Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining applications on OpenShift clusters. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization concepts, including pods, deployments, services, routes or ingress, namespaces, and configuration management. Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for developing scalable back-end services and microservices. Strong experience with React for developing responsive, maintainable, and high-performance front-end applications. Experience building and managing container images using Docker or compatible OCI container tooling. Experience with RESTful API development and integration, including Swagger/OpenAPI documentation. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated application build, test, and deployment processes. Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, and software engineering skills. Experience working in Agile delivery teams and following established development and code quality standards. Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) in enterprise or production environments. Experience with OpenShift deployment strategies, including rolling deployments, health checks, readiness and liveness probes, resource requests and limits, and autoscaling. Experience with React application development and component-based architecture. Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. Experience with GraphQL and Apollo. Exposure to OpenShift cloud platform Familiarity with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native security best practices. Exposure to event-driven and asynchronous patterns (message queues such as RabbitMQ) and caching (such as Redis).
