Senior Mobile Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Developer whose expertise matters more to us than the platform they started on. What we value is depth across the full craft of mobile development: native engineering on both iOS and Android, confident cross-platform work, sharp debugging and root-cause analysis on real devices, secure coding as a habit rather than a checklist, and the engineering judgement to ship production-quality releases to the app stores. Day to day, the work spans feature development, live app support, and work across both native and cross-platform codebases; assignments follow priorities, and a developer with the right skills moves comfortably between them. We hire for breadth and fundamentals over any single framework. We are looking for a developer who has genuinely worked across more than one mobile technology — native Android and native iOS, and at least one hybrid or cross-platform framework — and whose core programming concepts are strong enough to pick up the next one quickly and deliver production-quality, secure code in it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Deliver features and enabler work end to end on iOS and Android — from story through implementation, testing, and release readiness.
• •Own issues end to end — investigate, reproduce on real devices, root-cause, fix, and verify, with no regressions left behind.
• •Work across both native and cross-platform codebases as the work requires, keeping behaviour and feature parity consistent between them.
• •Write secure, clean, production-quality code — built to the OWASP MASVS (Mobile Application Security Verification Standard), no secrets or keys in source control, scan findings acted on promptly.
• •Manage the release path: signing, provisioning, build configuration, store submissions, and reproducible builds across environments.
• •Test on real devices across OS versions, screen sizes, and platform behaviours before handing work to QA — simulators and emulators alone are not enough.
• •Review peers' code with a quality and security lens across both native and cross-platform codebases; take review feedback constructively.
• •Keep work visible and well paced — boards current, blockers raised early, ambiguities cleared before development starts.
• •Keep documentation current alongside code — SDK usage, platform configuration, and build and release notes another developer can pick up without chasing you.
• •Share what you learn — recurring defect patterns, better workflows, reusable practices — so the whole team improves.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• •5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with production apps shipped to both the App Store and Google Play.
• •Hands-on experience across multiple mobile technologies, spanning both native and cross-platform:- Native Android — Kotlin and/or Java, Jetpack Compose and/or Views, Android SDK, Gradle. - Native iOS — Swift and/or Objective-C, UIKit and/or SwiftUI, Xcode. - Hybrid / cross-platform — at least one of Flutter, React Native, NativeScript, Kotlin Multiplatform, .NET MAUI, Ionic/Capacitor, or equivalent.
• •Strong core programming fundamentals — data structures, design patterns, concurrency and threading, memory management, app architecture (MVVM, MVI, Clean or similar) — with a demonstrated ability to pick up new languages and frameworks quickly.
• •Solid API integration skills — REST and GraphQL, authentication flows, real-time communication, and handling poor or intermittent connectivity.
• •On-device data and offline-first experience — local storage (Room, Core Data, SQLite, SQLDelight or similar), caching, background sync, and conflict handling.
• •Proven security expertise, held to a recognised standard — the OWASP MASVS (Mobile Application Security Verification Standard) and its MASTG testing guide — across secure storage of tokens and keys, cryptography, authentication flows, transport security, platform interaction, and resilience (obfuscation and tamper protection); plus supply-chain and third-party SDK diligence, and acting on SAST and dependency-scan findings.
• •Release engineering competence — code signing, provisioning profiles, keystores, build flavours and schemes, store review processes, and staged rollouts on Google Play and phased releases on the App Store.
• •Excellent debugging and root-cause-analysis skills on live production apps — crash reporting, profiling, memory and performance analysis, and device-specific issues. Unit and UI testing on both platforms, authored alongside implementation.
• •Experience with Git-based workflows, peer code review, and CI/CD for mobile builds.
• •Strong sense of ownership across both live app maintenance and planned feature delivery
