Job Description & Summary

AI is rapidly reshaping the cyber threat landscape, enabling adversaries to operate with greater speed, scale and sophistication. As the window to detect and respond to threats narrows, our Offensive Security team's role is more important than ever — helping organisations navigate this rapid period of change by testing their defences and strengthening their resilience against cyber attacks.

We're looking for an experienced penetration tester or red teamer to join our practice. In this role, you'll be 'on the tools', working alongside a national team of offensive security specialists to conduct technical evaluations of an organisation's cybersecurity posture, uncover vulnerabilities, demonstrate their impact (the 'so what') and provide advice on how to improve overall cyber resilience. You'll also have the opportunity to be at the forefront of AI-enabled offensive security, helping to develop and apply new approaches to penetration testing and red teaming as we evolve our services to meet the changing threat landscape.

As a team committed to technical excellence, we regularly share knowledge, collaborate with our counterparts across Defensive Security, receive threat intelligence briefings to inform our tradecraft, attend industry conferences and pursue ongoing training and development through internal programs and externally funded certifications.

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, with each at a different stage of their cyber maturity journey. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support a variety of Australian and international organisations to improve their cyber resilience by:

What you'll do:

Conducting penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in applications, systems and networks.

Performing red teaming and/or purple teaming activities to test the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls across detection, prevention and response domains.

Providing pragmatic recommendations to address identified risks.

Leading the day-to-day delivery of penetration testing engagements, including managing client and internal communications and overseeing technical quality.

Delivering management-level and detailed technical reports on findings, and assisting with presentations to technical and business stakeholders.

Coaching and mentoring junior penetration testers, both within and outside client engagements.

Developing internal tools and procedures to contribute to the team's knowledge base.

What you’ll gain:

The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.

Work within an inclusive environment committed to Inclusion and Diversity and First Nations Prosperity , ensuring diverse perspectives are at the forefront of our work.

Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work balancing what’s best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.

Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.

Generous leave entitlements to support your work-life balance - including floating public holidays, birthday leave and ability to purchase additional leave on top of your four weeks.

A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
